  1. I'll be there at 9 (with just Autumn) - but won't be able to make the afternoon hike. Squealy - if you want company on the afternoon hike for next week, on Sunday (9/19) we could join you. Saturdays will be NG for us for the next few weeks.
  2. Regarding Saturday's hike - my head is spinning from all the options - is there a morning hike then an afternoon hike planned?. I could be there from the crack of dawn, but only till 1:30 PM - even if it was from 9-1ish that would be 4 hours. Let me know if anyone is planning on going out in the AM.
  3. Chris, In hindsight, I agree - planning is paramount. I got all tide info back in February (I think), then I was going to wait till June'ish when the weather was warmer but never got a chance to do it. If it took the group that you had 4 hours, I don't think I could do it in less then that. I think I'll just bail out of this one for now as weekends would be tough for me in the fall. I could just see S&R looking for me in the muck in the middle of the night.
  4. I work just 10 minutes from the park but I've been avoiding this forever. I might be able to do it if we could squeeze it in after work on a weekday. I could be at a meeting place anytime after 3:30 PM.
  5. Come and honor Stayfloopy for his 3000th cache find, and chat with fellow cachers about Geocaching at This Event
  6. I'm in - it will be just Autumn & I for this one.
  7. Fine - you & Squealy stay home, I will accept all the winnings. A couple more additions to my list: BrianSnat - because I heard he bowls and bowlers are weird. BassoonPilot- because when he finds his 1112th cache I think all hell is going to break loose.
  8. I didn't mention this in my earlier post, but KBer is right - NB has some of the most unique caches we have found (or not found ). Again, congrats on the milestone.
  9. It's very funny that my friends, & fellow Met fans, from NJ, are the only ones "interrogated by the Secert Service at a cache with around 150 finds.
  10. Skully & Mulder et al. - I think they are actually alians. Averoair - He hides & finds too many caches - that's just creepy - plus, although he speaks English, I think he is from a forign country, so I just want to stay away from him. Natureboy - He hides caches that get people arrested. Quoddy - The Real Quoddy cant be trusted around female canines. JMBella & Squealy - They drive too far to get to the event caches. Hartclimbs - He is a "banned user".
  11. First on the list for me would be cache ninja ... the S. Jersey cachers (... ski, tnegiel, lavarock, mooseisloose, Perfect Tommy, etc.), & the PA cachers (CCCooper agency (Lynn & her family), Rich in NEPA, etc.). Finally - NJ Admin & Keystone Approver.
  12. I've really only had only 2 incidents with th e police. The first was with a Berkly Heights cop in Watchung Reservation. He was looking for someone that stole a car. He actually told me "I'll let you go, for now" and took down all my info (DL #, name, address, etc. The other incident was last at Ramapo Valley Reservation. We got out after dark and there was a county cop waiting for us on the main trail/road back to the parking lot. I just told her that I under estimated how quickly it was getting dark (and that was the truth) and she was fine with it. BTW I like the Judas Priest reference - I was a big fan back in the day.
  13. Doesn't look like we are going to make this. Ashley has softball pratice until noon so we couldn't even get there until 1:00. If there are cachers that can't get there earlier, we would be up for it at around 1:00 (maybe we could get some clues from the group that just finished).
  14. Hoopy - you ARE kidding - right ??- this is one of the funniest threads I've ever read.
  15. It's funny, but I have seen posts in the physical logs that read "Mopar was here".
  16. All I can say is that I feel bad for geoman007 - he/they put a huge effort into this and it is sad that there is any controversy involved. There is not a 1000 page rule book in place for this event - one would think that most people with a conscience would do what is right.
  17. My car broke down on the way home from work on Friday. It is now Sunday morning & it is still not fixed. No caching Saturday & none likely fo Sunday
  18. Looks like my friend Neil & I will be indulging in some complementary malt beverages soon!!
  19. How do you know there aren't a bunch he found that he hasn't logged yet??? Neil - Let's keep our fingers crossed - I'm thirsty!! BTW - Are we using local time - or - Pacific time.
  20. Just got back from vacation and saw this post. I was going to wait until Floopy actually got 3000 to submit my guess, but I'll go out on a limb now and go with Squealy and say the 28th. All the others can pay up at the next event. Neil ... we will have to share the winnings, but, we can make them pay with those drafts they were serving at the Ribs event.
