  1. you can if you get one of these http://pc-mobile.net/usgm.htm Interesting. Just what can you put in the 200?
  2. Just wondering how active or successful CITO events are in northern Indiana. I obviously GEOCACHE but also am the director of a non-profit wildlife Park in Marshall Co. Not wanting to be selfserving but just wondered if I scheduled one here how it would be predicted to attend.
  3. I bought 10 40MM cans at A-Z Army Navy Surplus in their E-bay Story. I paid $5:50/ea after shipping. Now if I could find decent key safe's. I found 3/$1 but the magnets are kinda weak.
  4. Forget private property, I assume you know you are in the wrong there. Municipal cemetaries are generally off limits after dark whether posted or not. Most private church owned ones are too. As for IDNR properties including State Nature Preserves, Parks, reservoirs, boat launches, et. al. There are state regulations prohibiing camping except for designated camping areas. A good way to tell is if you didn't see a sign noting camping sites or someone didn't collect fees from you you were illegally camping and can expect a fine if caught.
  5. It was mentioned but should be noted again to enphasize.... TRADE UP or don't trade at all. It is ok to not take something if you don't have something equal or of more value to leave.
  6. We have a question on proper etquette in starting a new cache. We have seen some caches that show a list of nice stuff when it was first placed, but when you get there it seems to be not quite so nice. Is it ok to write somewhere in the cache to do equal trade or to trade up, just as a reminder? Especially to newbies who may not be aware of how to do proper trades. gunpowder
  7. Now I am not happy. I am a director of a non-profit park and have had geocaches here for 3-4 years. Our rules are easy. Ask before you place so I can keep an eye on them. I also can help in placement as 1/2 the property floods in the spring many years. We have 6 currently here on property. Two from a board member, three of a friends and one from a person who never asked and has moved out of state. All are being archieved so I can redo the property with more caches since it has been a few years and the space can be better utilized to increas the number of caches. I just searched the letterboxing site and discovered one here on the park and one on a property around the corner that is being donated to the park. I already planned a cache for there. Gonna have to figure out who it is and have an understanding.
  8. Wally world has a neat bucket of smiley face bobbers that makes nice puts. Some Micky D toys are kinda neat but some are pure junk. I have seen some really disapointing supplies in caches
  9. Not yet but others are pulling their caches so they do not have to maintain them.
  10. All this talk of Bippus reminds me of College at Huntington. My History of Civ prof used to tell his students who mostly were from out of state that they should really consider taking a weekend jont to Bippus to the skyscraper and take the elevator to the lookout platform at the top. The view was reportedly great of the surrounding area. He announced the idea every year to help the new students get aquanted with Indiana. History of Civ is required of all Freshman so I always imagined all those students traveling to Bippus I was a local boy and my wife grew up in Bippus so I always mentioned that it was the best place to visit in Huntington County. I assume SixDogTeam already has a cache there but it didn't vcome up on my searches.
