  1. Ok, but I don't see a way to log the coordinates of where you found it, so it must just be a "spotted it" kind of thing?
  2. So this idea looks fun, but I'm not sure exactly how it works. I have two thoughts. 1. I put the magnet on my car and post a photo of the car TB on the site. If someone "finds" my car with the Magnetic TB on it, they take the magnet, log it, stick it on their car and post a photo and so on and so on. 2. People just log the coordinates where they spotted my TB car but the magnet stays on my car? Thoughts? -WeBDLost3
  3. Our family just returned to geocaching after a few years out of it. The first thing I noticed was the difference in items left in the caches... when we started in 2003, everyone was leaving neat stuff.. small toys, coins, various hiking goodies, batteries etc. People really thought about what was going in and made an effort to leave quality swag. Now, we have noticed alot of junk.. and I mean junk... candy wrappers/garbage.. stacks of business cards (thought advertising was against the rules here!), half way disintegrated trading cards (it rains peeps!!), broken toys...etc. Now, we have decided that our best swag will go in the members-only caches because there seems to be a bit more care in them. We've left kinder-toys, Starbucks cards, compasses, hot wheels etc. and are about to have some coins made... we think it's alot more fun to find something cool.. especially if there's little ones caching with you, and isn't life about having fun?
  4. I (Mike of WeBDLost3) finds stats useless and not interesting. Why? How could I be this way? How could a human being be so lame? Well....Someone else started this thing called Geocaching. Not me. Think of it like going to learn Martial Arts. There is always someone who has been doing it FAR longer than I. Some master who I will never catch up to unless they quit training. I am where I am. You are where you are. Why should I care if I am where you are? I love seeing the number next to our names get bigger, but if yours if bigger than mine that's ok. But only in Geocaching. Heh. LOL With out honor there is no art, only pretenders in a brawl.
  5. Oriental Trading Company rocks. We even use it on Halloween to get glow-in-the-dark necklaces and toys to give out as aposed to candy. Needless to say the kids and parents BOTH love our house. LOL I don't know why I hadn't thought of it for Cache toys.
  6. Our only problem with this guy is (for those of you who didn't see the original site before he altered it to the "new innocent version") was that he openly was recruiting and encouraging people to steal everything out of a cache and post the photos on his web site. I never saw anything about returning it later. At least not on the version I saw. His new site seems candy coated. Plus if new geocachers think it's ok to take everything (or anything) and leave nothing then eventually we could all end up finding more empty caches than not. How fun is that? My little girl likes finding the toys. She could care less about the log book. -WeBDLost3
