Got it 2 years ago in CT while hiking. If you had the rash, get the antibiotics now. I waited a month or so and got really sick. takes a while to get back to normal. Blood tests don't always show it either, so you might need to "push" the doc a little. Good luck, if you get the doxy. you'll be fine -catskill05 p.s. ask the doc, but if you get high dose for 2 days before the 48 hrs is up, that sometimes works and you don't need a month of meds
