  1. Although it is comforting to know that I am not alone with this problem, the suggestions thus far have not solved my problem. One response through the Delorme forum informed me that Google Chrome doesn't support full functionality for add-ons like Pocket Query. I tried the transfer again using IE but still without success.
  2. I have a Delorme PN-40 GPSr and want to download my pocket query data into it. I've run the pocket query and received the email with the cache list. I see the "send to GPS" icon to the right of each cache listing and those work individually but I want to download the whole query list. I "check all" boxes on the left and then can't get any downloads from the "send to GPS" button. The "download waypoints" button from the "Running Pocket Query" pages doesn't do anything either. I've tried this using both Chrome and IE. This must be simple but what am I not getting right?
  3. Does Geocaching.com use WGS84 for all coordinates?
  4. Yes, I'm reading. Thanks for the tip. I'll try the tech forum too.
  5. Interesting. I have a PN-40 also. How do I download PQs to the unit?
  6. I am having trouble making my pocket queries "available" in Cache Register so that I can load them to my GPS. The help notes for Cache Register state that to become available "A Pocket Query must run through Geocaching.com once before you can use Cache Register to sync it to your device. When a Pocket Query's status is "Unavailable," it means it hasn't yet run." I am a premium member and have used Cache Register before but getting queries is hit or miss. Exactly how do I "run the query through Geocaching.com?" GeoJohn
  7. I don't know why I am getting zero hits in my recent pocket caches. I've got all the choices checked properly and as I have done previously with success. Any suggestions? GeoJohn
  8. Has anyone had a problem with intermittent connections between a Delorme PN-40 and the computer with TopoUSA during data transfer? I've been through several USB cables with the same results. Delorme keeps telling me that it is the USB port on the commputer but all the ports work for every other thing that I plug into them. Also, this same problem occurs on different computers. Doesn't that sound like a GPS problem and not a cable or USB port problem. Any suggestions?
  9. My pocket query is coming back with zero hits inmy home area where there are hundreds of caches. I have gone over the individual filter items several times but still get a return of zero. Any suggestions?
  10. it sounds to me like all is as it should be when you activated the coin, it would have been put into your inventory but when you dropped it into a geocache, it was removed from your inventory and put into the geocache a trackable item can only be in one place at a time in somebody's inventory OR in a geocache OR unknown location when someone retrieves the coin from the geocache that it is now in, it will be removed from the geocache and put into their inventory as for your other question - trackable owners do not get credit for moving or discovering their own items you are allowed to retrieve/drop (aka move) your own trackable item and/or discover it, but you do not get credit for such activities When I log a TB drop I was able to drag and drop the coin/bug from the inventory box in the corner of the log screen. You're right in that "it would have been put" in my inventory but the problem here is that the coin IS NOT listed in my inventory on the log a cache page. However, it is listed in my inventory on my profile page..
  11. The coin seems to still be in the cache where I dropped it. No logs since I was there. I see the coin in my "Trackables Owned" but not in "Trackables moved or discovered." When I found it, it was not listed in the cache inventory so I couldn't electronically "discover" it. It was an unactivated coin left for someone to grab and activate. I did so and now I'm having this problem. It is not in my inventory so I can't electronically "drop" it off. Other thoughts?
  12. It was not listed as "contents" in the original find so I couldn't officially "discover" it. It was an unactivated coin left by a Georgia Geocacher. It needed to be activated so I did that and then dropped it off. However, it is not listed as being in my inventory so I can't electronically "drop" it in the cache where it is currently situated. More ideas?
  13. I have activated a geocoin that I found in a cache but it doesn't show up in my inventory. How do I get it into my inventory? I have moved it to a new cache and I want to get the log straight but it is not showing up in my inventory. GeoJohn
  14. I did post a log for that cache but there was not an inventory at the bottom as usual. That is the problem I am having, the coin does not show up in my inventory so I can electronically drop it into the cache. Further suggestions?
  15. I have activated a geocoin that I found in a cache but it doesn't show up in my inventory. How do I get that to happen? I've actually already moved the coin so I want to the get the log records straight. GeoJohn
  16. I changed my profile password and username and this caused a loss of all cache data. Can I reset to the old name and password and recover cache records?
  17. Yep, that got it. Thanks!
  18. I'm new to pocket queries but I did one yesterday and it worked. Today I'm doing one for another area with plenty of caches but the results come out as zero caches. Any help out there?
  19. I am setting up a local tour that will be guided by GPS coordinates. How can I make a loc file for my coords so that users can download them instead of entering them manually?
