  1. Never actually occurred to me! Cool idea! When I'm geocaching far from home I'm always expecting to find souvenirs from the area I'm caching in. I need to bring some "Chimney Rock Park" (www.chimneyrockpark.com) keychains with me (I work about 5 miles from there) the next time when I'm vacationing and place them in caches.
  2. Yes Is that "yes" to there IS an upward limit or to your stats showing one-thousand finds?
  3. I think your note was fine, albeit a bit long. But the above sentence is not true - if you log a cache (or event) five times, you increase your Find count by five. I wonder if there's an upward limit? Could someone log the same cache, say, a thousand times? I know it would be seen quickly (hopefully), but would they, at least temporarily, have an additional one-thousand finds showing?
  4. The only real proof of a FTF is on the log book/sheet in the actual cache. The first person to write their name on the log on a new cache is FTF. I've experienced many times being FTF but not "First to Log". Anyway, there's no real "credit" for being FTF.
  5. I thought that same thing when I made my post...
  6. It was the "show all logs" script! Thanks for the insight! It wasn't a big deal, but just wondered what it could be! Thanks to all!
  7. I'm using the latest version of Firefox and when I load any cache page the page loads, then loads again. It's very quick and doesn't seem to cause any problems... just kinda annoying. Running a couple of Grease Monkey scripts. IE doesn't seem to have this behavior... any ideas folks?
  8. As a premium member. I respectfully ask Geocaching.com/Groundspeak to re-enable the Google Earth KML. It's put a damper on geocaching for me.
  9. That's called a "DNF", huh? That's crazy that someone left another cache! The most I've ever done is replace a log or put a cache back together. If I can't find it, I log a DNF.
  10. The email shows as being sent on Thu 1/15/2009 11:18 PM. I received it Tue 1/20/2009 at 4:38 AM.
  11. Switched to my Gmail account. Did a large 500 cache PQ and received it almost immediately! It's disheartening to realize that it was bellsouth.net (AT&T FastAccess) that was behind this. Wonder why they would prevent emails from geocaching.com from piping through? Especially the extremely long delay in getting them. I'll post any updates or any more problems. Thanks again for all your help, guys! ckarrow2
  12. bellsouth.net is my ISP and email provider. I'm not having any trouble receiving any other emails from any other source. Thanks for looking into this... It's getting frustrating. I've just received a PQ that I created on 1/7/09 just a few minutes ago! I'll try switching to my Gmail account and see if it fixes the problem and report back. I appreciate everyone's advice! ckarrow2
  13. Lately, when I been creating PQ's, it can take upwards of 3-4 days for the PQ to show up in my email. Also, I've been receiving email notices of finds on my caches in about the same time frame. For instance, there was a find on one of my newest caches on 1/15/09 and I just received the email notice this AM 1/20/09. I've read somewhere that users names that start with "C" are having these issues. Any truth to this? Happy Caching! ckarrow2
  14. I like to call my Garmin 60CSx a "Tricorder".
