  1. Sent an e-mail, but noting here too: donbadabon's Face 2 Face geocoin. 100 made, not trackable.
  2. GeoNap, Varsgeld is keeping track here: http://home.ec.rr.com/cheetahson1/numbers.html
  3. Would love to try this out. But have been waiting almost 2 hours for a confirmation e-mail that would allow me to download. The front-end to the customer is as important as the software itself. If we can't get to your application, 1 - We can't download it; 2 - it leaves us wondering how good the product can be if the front end doesn't work.
  4. Welcome to the addiction, blackpanther. briansnat hit all the good points, so there is not much else to say. You can start off with the $99 units, and be very happy caching with them. If you don't have a need for autorouting and topo displays, they will work great.
  5. Leo and Amber discussed geocaching today. It was a very basic segment, but showed Amber surfing through geocaching.com searching for caches in Toronto. They mentioned geocaching.com by name several times, and didn't say anything negative about geocaching, which is always a good thing.
  6. Do you all like the size of this coin? These big coins seem to be a trend now, but I think it is too big. They look more like medallions than coins. Just my opinion though.
  7. Wow. I did not know that. I thought all stages had to be .10 from each other. Regarding the OP, it seems as if no one really knows why the approver requested the information. Can't you just ask them why, and shouldn't they be required to answer?
  8. This is another example of the "guidelines" not being consitant from approver to approver. The guidelines are vague enough to let requirements like this happen. Hell, I found a new 5 stage multi-cache in Maryland recently, and the last four stages were within 100 feet of each other!
  9. GMT - 5. 9:00 EDT. Of course, I assumed people would check their guide data for their local showing.
  10. Just two days away for anyone interested in recording it.
  11. Almost like looking for a cache hidden by someone that was using a Magellan GPSr. You know it is in the woods somewhere.
  12. My reference to accuracy was outside of leaf cover. Just walking through a field with a clear view of the sky. It seemed to me the 76 would always think the cache was much further (100+) feet away than it actually was, and then would very slowly bring me back to the location. And the 60 consistantly takes me right to the general area of the cache without overshooting it. I also see this when caching with others that have the 76. They are walking a LONG way away from ground zero, and then will slowly start coming back. Just what I've seen. It was significant enough for me to switch to the 60cs, and I never looked back.
  13. Interesting. I've owned both, and actually traded in my 76cs for a 60cs. In my experience, I've found the 60cs to be much more accurate in the field. I don't know if it is because of the rhino antenna or what.
  14. Saw this pop up in my guide data tonight: Friday, Nov 11th, at 9:00 am Call For Help with Leo Laporte on the G4 network. Episode #5055 "Treasure hunts with GPS gadgets".
  15. Oops, I meant being in the same State at the same time you were. lol
  16. For those of you waiting to get it, the pictures don't do it justice. It is a nice looking coin with really good detail. Of course, I have mine in hand already. One of the advantages of being in the same state.
  17. The thing I hate about the Mylar holders is how do you seal them without using staples? I hate the look of staples on there.
  18. it is bugmenot dot com A great thing to use when you just want to surf without having to give out info. Looking forward to the article. We all had a great time at the event, hopefully our trooper photographer did too!
  19. coinsandpins did my first personal coin. HIGHLY recommended. Very fast service, great communication, and high quality work. Am currently working with personalgeocoins on a secret project...
  20. Wow, thanks Jeremy! One thing I noticed, when someone can't view the main coords, they also can't view any corrected coords. Nice thinking ahead.
  21. Why am I unable to view any coords? I am logged in, but there is a message saying I need to be validated. When I click on it, it says I am already validated. grrr.
