  1. Thought and Prayers from us as well! Please keep us updated! Mr. and Mrs. Parrothead AKA Tim and Anne
  2. We have a micro in a small park in the middle of town. The description plainly states "The coordinates will be "iffy". There is a lot of interference from the buildings so it may be tough to get a good reading. Have fun!!!!" There have been lots of logs that include "updated" or "better" coordinates than the ones posted. Most by cachers with fewer than 10 finds. I have explained to each one of them that due to the very tall buildings surrounding the little park, the slice of sky is so small that you will be lucky to get much help from the GPSr. The hint is of a variety that if you just spend a little time looking in the general area you are pointed to, you WILL eventually get to the right spot. Its just a process of elimination. Still, I have been chastised more than once about my "bad" coordinates and was told by one cacher once that the posted coords were so far off, I needed to either fix them or archive the cache.
  3. GeoGordie, There is one over here in Hickory....... Mr. Parrothead did it back in June or July. Name of it is Vampire Cache. Anne AKA Mrs. Parrothead
  4. Ok, apparently it was a "delayed reaction" thing. It reset itself after a little while.
  5. I temporarily logged a find on one of my own caches in order to test something. I went back and delted the log when I was finished. Of course, it added to my find total and I thought that once I deleted the log, the find would be taken away as well. I can find no record of my log but my find total did not reset back to where it should be. Any suggestions?
  6. Back in May, while walking back from finding a cache in the Bahamas, we also found a gun. The only problem was that it was still attached to its owners hand and he wanted our stuff.....

  10. I am acutally a PDA Geek.... and last year was working on PDA Team for work when in the Pocket PC magazine I ran across an article on GeoCaching. I went home and told the husband it looked like fun. We went out and bought a GPS that weekend on the advice of my boss who is a Duck Hunter and GeoCacher himself. Then we were off looking for the Cache closest to the house. From then on we have been hooked. We celebrate one year of caching July 20 and we should have our 100 cache in by end of June. We are in NC near Charlotte. Gets up both out in the air for a bit instead of sitting in front of a PC. We love the exercise, hiking, and the history that some caches tell. We even have 4 of our own now with more to come. Anne AKA Mrs. Parrothead
  11. Thanks Serenity. This worked great. I'll have to let my caching buddies in on this one. Mrs. Parrothead
  12. We have been using GPX View on the Pocket PC devices and having our queries run about twice a week. Everything was working fine untill about a month ago we the husband and I noticed that the coordinates on the Web site and the ones on GPX View on the Pocket PC were different. Any suggestions or have any one of you seen this problem.
  13. Count us Parrotheads in. We would like to meet and greet. We live in Maiden, NC near Denver and have been looking to meet others into Caching. Would be nice to have a group as large and interested as some other states that I have seen in the forums. As long as the weather is nice Mr. Parrothead and I will try to come to lunch, dinner etc. Anne AKA Mrs. Parrothead
