  1. I am trying to download multiple caches at a time onto my gps. I would like to be able to go to an area and download several at a time rather then clicking each one. Does anyone know how to do this.
  2. Go to the Find/geocache screen then press the menu (lower left button) and you can delete them all from there. Thank you very much for your help. Nowhere did it tell me what to do in my manual. I really appreciate your help. Now I can start from scratch.
  3. I have tons of geocaches loaded on my garmin and would like to clean it out and start over. So many of them are ones I am not interested in finding but I don't have room to load the ones I want. Does anyone know if there is a way to delete all rather then having to delete one at a time. Appreciate your help, Mazoo
  4. My gps used to be set up so when I was arriving at a geocache I could change it to off road to take me right to it. I would click the left hand button (menu/find) and then hit recalculate and it would have off road or on road. I am missing that feature now. Also when I found a cache I could click on found in the lower left hand corner and it would list it with the caches I had found. That's gone too. I've gone through my book to no avail. I'm sure I've just somehow lost these settings and am doing something wrong in trying to set them back up. I would really appreciate it if someone could walk me through this. If you could email me that would be really great. boydfam3@yahoo.com Thank you, Sandi (Mazoo)
  5. I cannot figure out how to delete caches that I've downloaded once I've found them. Can someone let me know if there is a way. Thank you, Mazoo (Sandi)
  6. This worked wonderful for me. Now this is true paperless caching. My only question is how do I delete the caches from my Custom POI's once I've found them.
  7. I bought a Garmin iQue M5 and finally had it figured out but it keeps crashing and I lose everything. I bought it on Ebay and have a feeling it may have been defective. I would like to just bite the bullet and buy a new one with a warranty. Can someone tell me which device is best for paperless caching? Meaning the easiest for a newbie, for someone half way computer literate but would rather just plug in and have it work? Also would like to set up several sites like home locations, vacation spots, etc. I'm ready to buy one if I could just find the right one to buy. Please email me at boydfam3@yahoo.com as soon as possible. Thanks, Mazoo/Sandi
  8. I have a Garmin iQue M5 that I just purchased on ebay. I cannot seem to download waypoints to it for paperless caching. Also, whenever I turn it off then back on I've lost everything. I was told I needed Cachemate so I got that but it's not showing up on the Garmin. It was there and then I turned it off and it's gone. Also the maps that I loaded disappeared as well. I really want to do paperless caching but cannot figure this one out. I was told I need Gsak so I purchased that but can't figure out how to send it to the Garmin. Can anyone offer me simple step by step help? Also if you know of a better, simpler device for a resonable price I'd be willing to check into that. Thank you, Sandi (Mazoo) Please email me at boydfam3@yahoo.com.
  9. I am fairly new to geocaching and so far have not been able to convince any of my friends how much fun it is. I would like to find a geocacher from Sandy, OR area that is also looking for someone to cache with. My name is Sandi Boyd .. geo name Mazoo and I am 55. If interested please email me at boydfam3@yahoo.com Thank you, Sandi
  10. I have seen a few puzzle caches posted and have no idea how to dicipher. There's one for instance that says something like bark bark arf arf woof woof bark and so on. How do you possible figure out what that puzzle might mean? Is there anyone that can enlighten me?
  11. I am new to geocaching and when I download to my gps I can only do one at a time. Isn't there a way to download several at one time. I know I can click on them all and at the bottom there is a button that says download waypoints. I don't find anything that says download to gps. If anyone can give me a little help here I'd appreciate it. It just seems that you shouldn't have to click one at a time. Thank you, Mazoo (Sandi)
  12. Has anyone tried the magellan triton 400. I just bought that one and haven't really got it figured out yet. I'm brand new to this gps stuff but want to get into geocaching. I went to buy a Garmin and the salesman talked me into the Magellan. Any comments or suggestions???
