  1. How about providing the "visitor center" experience and info on the cache page, then requiring a photo to verify they were there? Raw locations like this put much more educational responsibility on the owner than other earthcaches would. Jumping through a hoop to log an earthcache is not unusual. Jumping through flaming hoops just sucks.
  2. If it's an urban micro I usually don't log dnf's (or finds for that matter). If it's a worthy cache site and I'm in a logging mood I might log a dnf. Bottom line is log when you feel the need.
  3. I've never felt that Numbers was among Moses better works. It was a pretty dry read, kinda like reading a census report. Not sure what numbers have to do with caching...but thats just me.
  4. It takes a few mouse clicks every 365 days. Meh.
  5. I'll be there with the rest of the Idaho contingent. Looking forward to the geocoin poker game especially.
  6. Radio Central in Oxnard CA is quite popular. My pops even won an award for it.
  7. I mean it this time. My posts will never again cast their shadow on these forums....
  8. I am insulted and offended that no one missed my well thought out and valuable posts. I've had it...I will never post on these forums again.
  9. I have never compared the two against each other and I seriously doubt I ever will. It's just not that important to me.
  10. I had one last summer that didn't pass muster. Titled "Have a cold one", it would have been a 50 cal ammocan with holes drilled in it, attached to a chain anchored to the bank of the Snake river in the canyon. The ammocan would contain cans of soda. The idea was that cachers would bring a can of soda with them and exchange it for an ice cold can from the cache. Kinda like a perpetual ice chest in the desert. The issue was of course, food items in caches. TPTB agreed that this type of food in this particular cache placement would negate anything but trout bothering the cache but they didn't want to water down the guidelines regarding food items. It was also pointed out that I'd probably need to make frequent maintenance visits to swap out the beer that would most likely be left in the cache. I didn't lose much sleep over the denial. I knew from the start that it violated the guidelines, but was hoping for a waiver. I'll probably place it as a terracache this coming summer.

    My turn!

    Zion national park.
  12. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
  13. Are'nt we all supposed to be sleeping with visions of sugarplums dancing or something?
