  1. Two questions. First, what's the maximum size microSD card a Garmin 60Cx will recognize. Second, what's the largest that I really need? I want to put City Navigator on it and have enough room left over to be comfortable for tracks and other things. Thanks
  2. I mentioned above that my experience was less that stellar. I had thought that they had not taken my money, so I just decided to walk away from the transaction altogether. A few days ago I noticed that they had in fact charged my CC (through paypal) for the money. I called and spoke with someone this morning about. Regarding the original issue, they stated that they had some known issues processing paypal orders during the time I placed my order. The CSR I was speaking with retook my customer info, honored the half price, and upgraded the shipping, I should have the stuff in 2-3 days. Regarding my email never being answered, I asked if someone would investigate. I received notice that they had responded and was given a date. I was able to find the email in a spam folder. So, aside from the unfortunate problem with paypal it seems like they did everything else right. Assuming the product comes and works (which I don't doubt based on others' comments) I'd order from them again.
  3. I ordered one for my 60Cx and one for my palm yesterday. They sent me to paypal and took my money, but when paypal sent me back to their website they had no record of my order - the items were still in my cart. The paypal email even has my shieldzone order number, but their website doesn't have a record of it. I contacted their CS email address after sitting on hold on the phone for 20 minutes. I haven't heard anything back from them yet. Hopefully this is an isolated incident but it's worth noting. I'll follow up here with a resolution when I get one.
  4. Since someone already inquired about breaking the lot, I'm interested in the software (if it's unused/unactivated? And is it NT or regular?), the auto power cord, and _maybe_ the SD card and auto mounts. Got a price in mind? If it's a good price it leaves you with just the palm...
  5. Wow, that looks fantastic. How did none of my googling turn that up? Thanks for the pointer.
  6. Thanks for the wonderfully detailed responses. The part I didn't add is that I'd love to use a Mac as my primary workflow machine. However after poking around it looks like GSAK is worth being on windows. I'll be refering to your answers in the next few weeks as I play with getting a workflow.
  7. I'm wondering how people take cache details with you when you head out? I don't have a palm-like device, but I also don't like printing all these pages. Here's what I've come up with so far: 1) print out the "printer friendly" page This is the best one I've found right now 2) print out the PDF Guaranteed 2 pages per cache, with useful info on the second page - too many pages 3) take "paperless" details with you via a pocketpc no pocket PC and I can't figure out how to access. 4) copy/paste the detail you need into a smaller format Way, way, way too much time. 5) don't take the info with you. Too frustrating. Am I missing any options? What do other people do? How do I access paperless caching? I paid for a premium membership and I feel like an idiot, but I honestly can't figure out how to access that feature. I think maybe a combo of paperless info plus some perl and I can condense a bunch of caches onto single pages using excel templates, but I need to see the format of the data first. Thanks for any info or pointers.
