  1. I really like them, I think they came out awesome!
  2. Always on the lookout for the following coins: GCC Ammo Can GCC Benchmark SquareD22 Quohog Lighthouse Florida Landmarks - the Shipwreck Coin JoeFrog GeoDesy V Bandit Hawaii Pineapple Habercacher 2005 MIGO Pirates of Harriman Perrin & Faile The 4F's Trez Aztec Gold My list is updated. See sig line.
  3. My avatar got distorted and the color doesn't work with the new forums. I don't have the energy to make another one right and was hoping someone could help out. Something with the following: - The two figures from the picture in my profile - A picture of Eatern Massachusetts in the BG with the caching colors - "TH1981 & bir" on it - The empty space matching the new background color of the forums? Anyone interested?
  4. Falling apart? Didn't the whole thing come crashing down? He is incorporating it. He has prelim thoughts in the NE forums. They look very cool! I will be in for a bunch of coins. I really wouldn't worry about recouping. I also think the presale is fine. I think most of the coins I have received were presales. I think the people fronted the art and die fees so they could get a sample minted; just make sure to advertise well that it is a presell when people are paying. Good luck I can't wait!
  5. Kudos to everyone; but I gotta go with F&H's. That looks awesome!
  6. This will be tough. I know the two I WANT to win; but I doubt they will, so I'll have to think of someone else.
  7. Has anyone received Cache the Fever or heard any news about it?
  8. I generally email people after two weeks and say: "Hey how is it going? I am the owner of TB/Coin X. I usually send people an email after they have had my travelers for over two weeks just to make sure they still have the item. No rush, just wanted to make sure it will make its way back to a cache. Thanks, see you on the trails."
  9. Whoa I missed that one. I though 15 minutes would be more than enough time. Woops.
  10. I know, I meant, when I release the replicas into the wild, I can no longer allow others to log the real coins or log them into events, because it will screw up the mileage and who is grabbing them and so forth. Once I release the plastic jobbies, that is it. They have to stay in my folder at home. So, this Tom, Dick, and Sally, how long have they been caching and do they have any LE's for trade?
  11. I have on the way: - DNF Coin (actually have now) - January 2005 Signal Frog Coin - Coin Town - BikeDog Memorial - Indiana Hoosiers Micro - Lamppost - Phone-a-Friend - LE Silver Prime Meridian - CP.com Logbook Coin - Tracking Time (x2) - Scotland - Prague - Spinning Coin - firefox949 - TFTC Coin Looking For: - Any Moun10bike version (I know, I know.) - Team Fisur - Volunteer (haha...) - JoeFrog More realistically looking for: - MGA Coin - Texas Bluebonnet - Lighthouse (any one) - Frozen Bone - Finland - UK - Delaware - Alternatively, pretty much any icon I don't have yet.
  12. Ditto. No worries. I thought most were done as pre-sales as well. It'll arrive when it arrives.
  13. I started collecting a few months ago. I like having the collection and looking through it, and keeping the actual coins. My initial intent was to activate the coins and bring them to events and on the trails. I have brought them to one event to let people log. Would it be alright now, without deleting any people who logged the coin, to make the printout replicas of the coins, put them in that hard plastic laminate, change the goals and send those out? I really don't feel comfortable sending out the coins, as I really like collecting them and usually only buy 1 coin. Plus, this way if it ever goes missing I can just send out another replica. I understand that I won't be able to let lookers log anymore, and that is ok with me. I can just keep the coins at home to admire. How does this sound? Lame or cool? Would you get as excited about logging a replica? (I know I have this week; but wanted general feelings) If it is cool, where do you get that neat hard plastic laminate?
  14. Both. They can be trackable like TB's, some even have special icons associated with them like the Jeeps. Others are simply trade items. They might be numbered but they are not trackable. Describe it and we can tell you.
  15. If hints have returns (enters) in them when they are decrypted they read as one line: For example: "Stage One: xxxxxx Stage Two: xxxxx Stage Three: xxxxx" will read as "Stage One:xxxxxxStage Two: xxxxxxStage Three: xxxxxx" This happens on my browser (FireFox 1.5) anyways.
  16. a) If you have coins to trade post what you have and what you want in the pinned topic at the top of the forum. Also sites offer listing services to have coin and trading lists (see the recent topic regarding a central location for links for some of these sites). People have links to these in their sig lines or links to their website pages. Email those people offers or post it in pinned topic. Be careful it gets addictive!!! Unfortunately, both. However, for the most part a coin will say "Unactivated" when it is a new GCC that hasn't been started. Worth emailing the seller before buying to find out for sure. But for a large majority they are new coins.
  17. To clarify on the coins: The first month you will receive the "New Subscriber's Coin" regardless of what everyone else is getting. After that you will get the coin for the month. Everyone gets the same coin, you cannot choose. All the past coins are out of production. Get them through trades or on other sites.
  18. I have on the way extras of: January Signal the Frog Coin Town GeoCoin BikeDog Memorial Indiana Hoosiers Lamp post Caching Place Logbook Tracking Time Scotland Prague Firefox949 Spinning TFTC and a DNF and 2006 USA Does anyone have a: Moun10bike or a Groundspeak Volunteer Email me; maybe (I hope although not that much) that we can work something out!
  19. Will the holiday coins eventually have a special icon instead of the standard coin? Just curious, no biggie if it diesn't.
  20. I'm trying to get to OakCoins to get an activation code for a "Not ANother Micro". Their site doesn't appear to be working, is there another way to get thesde codes?
  21. http://www.geocoinstore.com/signal/ One time purchase, in that you don't have to sit on the forums and compete with all the other people looking, have to go to various different sites and what not. Just an easier way than many coins are done. Each coin is fairly limited. So it might be a cool thing to have on a walking stick since others won't have them; but it will be a universal symbol of caching. One time order, unlie something like GCC where you have to do a subscription plan, or some other coins where you reserve or pre-order coins, and then later paypal, and stuff. But the puzzle ones are cool too. Totally up to you!
  22. Hey NtP, I misunderstood, I thought you were looking for a New England Icon. I would suggest getting a ambiguous coin without affiliations to a cacher or state. Some suggestions: Phone-A-Friend National Parks Compass Rose GCC Coins. The upcoming Signal The Frog Coins The Signal The Frog coins might be good because they are a one time purchase, limited, very ambiguous, and are a one time order.
