I don't know of any chain stores that sell them... Shipping will be quick, I'd just order them... -
Just leave things that you would like to find...

Kaboomcult replied to Kaboomcult's topic in General geocaching topics
Thanks for the replies. Some time next week I am going to be posting the post so you still have time give me more blogs... keep 'em coming... -

What is the best glue for wood on plastic?
Kaboomcult replied to Hellolost's topic in General geocaching topics
loctite 324 will glue almost anything! Metal to metal, glass, you name it... you have to use loctite 7075 on both parts prior to gluing. Also it will not fill gaps loctite is anaerobic it cures in the absence of air. so if you have tight fitting pieces it will work well... -
10 bucks to ship stickers is a bit on the steep side... I have seen a lot of caches that used stencils to mark the side... looks like military issue too...

The risk is enough for me not to use them... Non polycarbonate bottles are easy enough to find now.

Twitter is fun if you follow the right people... If you read blogs, most blog owners have a twitter account and tweet about the subject of there blog... I suggest that you give it a week and use the search function to find people that interest you... Follow me on twitter - http://twitter.com/huskyhiker Thanks Jim http://huskyhiker.com

I was wondering if it is possible to save track data to the map so the data is visible on the map in the gps like a road or trail and not taking up track data... For example: I hike a trail and want to add the trails to my topo map so they can be transferred to the gps for future use. Or do they have to be kept as a log file... I only want them there for reference not to trackback by or anything. Not sure if this make sense to anyone but me. Jim http://huskyhiker.com

I just picked up an olympus stylus 1050 sw... I haven't had much time to play with it but it seems like a nice little camera. Waterproof to 10 feet and shockproof from 5 feet. They retail for abot 300 but newegg.com has a deal going on now, camera and memery card for 230 and free shipping to boot... Jim http://huskyhiker.com

I carry a bag full of trade items, yet I don't trade at most of the caches I visit. If I find a cache lacking quality trade item I will re stock it with some stuff from my "trade" bag. Pay it forward. I think more people need to live by this pay it forward mentality. Even if you start doing a 2 for 1 trade it would help wonders. What I hate is opening a cache to find rocks, candy bar wrappers, and pennies... Jim http://huskyhiker.com

mapping and managing hikes with gps?
Kaboomcult replied to Kaboomcult's topic in General geocaching topics
Thanks for the replies, sporttracks sounds neat. I will have to check it out when I get a chance. I have a feeling we will be breaking out the snowshoes here in new england soon... Jim http://huskyhiker.com -
I am starting to map my hike tracks and post them to my blog. I have been using mapsource, my maps google, to do everything. I was wondering if anyone knows of software that is good for working with tracks. Tips and tricks would be great too... Also it would be completely awesome if I could add my track to my topo map so I could use it in the future to follow... I want to add it so it shows up on the gps like a trail or road. Is there a way to do this? Jim http://huskyhiker.com

I have recently got back into hiking after not going out much for a couple years. I have been eating better and hitting the trails on the weekends, I am down about 25lbs... I started a blog to share my journey http://www.huskyhiker.com - I have made it a goal to hike Mt. Washington in 2009... Jim
