  1. Depending on the cache difficulty I will go check after 3 or 4 DNFs. Yes by all means post a NM or shoot me an email. I want to keep my caches in good shape.
  2. Some folks just don't care to do one or the other. Everyone plays their own way.
  3. If the caches were placed with permission what authority is he using to remove them?
  4. If people have filled one of my caches with business cards, coupons, small stones from the ground next to GZ & beer bottle caps I would appreciate your help.
  5. Glad to have you with us. Check Facebook to see of there is a local group near your location. Meeying locals is a good way to learn.
  6. Retail stores jack up the prices. Buy online but do your research on the sites coustomer satisfaction.
  7. We have some caches around here where the CO specifically asks not to post photos of the cache. An alternative would be to take a photo of the cache container and e-mail that to the CO as proof you were there. I always carry a Fisher Space Pen with a fine point refill...great for damp logs. You wouldn't post the photo since as you say COs don't care for that. But you would email the CO the photo as proof you were there. Everyone forgets a pen now and again so no big deal. Most COs let that slide. Now if I noticed a cacher with a pattern of forgetting I'd think about some deletions w/o some other proof. I keep a pencil and a fine point sharpie in my bag.
  8. I have always gotten verbal permission from property owners. The only time I had to provide proof of permission was for an earthcache. There is some good informaton unnder Geocaching 101 on the main page if you want to create a letter.
  9. I have a vista. Feel free to email me through my GC account.
  10. Very hot in the Midwest. So I go slow.
  11. Some people are not honorable & they cheat. Doesn't affect my enjoyment so I play them no mind.
  12. I see no trouble with it. Why not adopt the spot and place a good cache there?
  13. Don't give up. You will get the hang of it.y
  14. Several parks deparments and tourism boards around ghe country have done this. Place decent caches, take me to cool places and the effort will be a winner.
  15. After 2 disappeared right out of the first cache I started sending a note thanking the finder for moving my tb. Seems to have extended their longevity
  16. If someone is waiting two Weeks to log a TB I am not surprised they occasionally get grabbed.
