  1. Dont you feel all better inside now? I bet you and all the rest of the Cronic Crybaby Complainers can look in the mirror and smile with pride for your high moral intergity. Congrats, youve earned it! Speaking of CCC's, how come that "firestorm" hasnt be re-re-re-re-re-re-re-hashed lately? Tired of beating a dead horse yet?

    caching minneapolis

Convention center zip is 55403, 55455, 55454 are nearby- Good luck!
  3. there is only 1 ATV cache within 100 miles of me- but i havent got to try it yet- the day I set out to find it, I blew a trailer tire, had no spare- called in help. New spare on, got another 1.5 miles and blew the other- by the time I got everything fixed and rolling again, we headed back home. Its on the list for this summer tho- I have a Honda 450 Foreman ES 4X4 -
  4. Wow, I feel lucky if I have a spare set of batteries with me! Thats a pretty impressive set up -
  5. I found it- its on the "My Account Details" page- not the profile page
  6. Ah-ha! Perfect! Thanks for pointing that out-- I was looking for an option within the whole new "Friends" tab. So, nevermind. I'll be quietly anti-social now. Still not seeing the whole freinds tab. . . logged out and back in, 2 browsers.... Any ideas anyone?
  7. I tried 2 browsers, and Im not seeing it- but when editing profile, I did see "Friend Requests: Allow Friend Requests" where you have to opt in- I just dont see it on the profile page?
  8. Because you don't get a smiley. If you got a smiley for finding a waymark a lot of people would think it was the best thing since pre-sliced luncheon meat. Thats not true, at least in my case- Smileys aside, Waymarking is a completely differernt thing, on a different site, and of differing interest that geocaching. Completely true. Geocaches should have a container hidden somewhere. A spot with significance but no cache should be called a Waymark. Agreed. No matter what you call it, "Geocaching" is not = "Waymarking"

  10. I'd like to see some folks take on a newsletter on Terracachers.org. Would reading that require you to get 2 sponsors to vouch for you, and then stay active on the site or loose sponsorship and access?
  11. I really Like the design, great job! Put me down for 2 hiders and 1 public coin I feel pretty lucky to have my name land almost smack dab in the middle of the coin, right below BPR's
  12. Lamp post = parking lot, mall, street, etc = enough to discourage me.
  13. I cant think of anything specific, but there are alot of caches around town. U of MN area zip is 55455 - Good luck, and enjoy your visit to MN!
  14. I avoid them altogether - since I dont cache to be in parking lots -
  15. Congratulations! An off topic post IN before the 10th post. ^Pot, meet kettle.. . . . .

    problems with e-mail

Is this new, or ? Ive never had an issue with broken links i nthe past- until todays email- They 1) dont work and 2) dont open in a seperate window- both things that they always did in the past using teh same tools as I am using today
  17. Boy, that would be a great number to know! When I think of people taking a class or getting mentoring or help from someone to learn "wandering in the woods" I just giggle..... Sounds like a great Idea, but I cant see it working. What if someone in your local area signed up and became one- then just taught people how to place bad caches? Oh wait, my idea of a bad cache isnt the same as everyone elses...... so would there be a breakdown in the mentors, among things like "micro hider" and "ammo can man" and LPM'er, etc?
  18. ^Must be an "un-related" coincidence. . .
  19. No, I meant the others who bring up your profile as a distraction to the topic at hand - its common to see people pull up find #'s, join date and other things to "defend" a topic when they are really just pushing the discussion off topic to steer it clear of the real issue at hand. You profile has Nothing to do with the servers....... I just got this while posting my last reply:
  20. No, it was the pointless changing of subject tactic most often used to distract someone from the issue at hand. **Look over there, the house is on fire** (nevermind the server smoking over here) Could always be a software issue, it looks like your using the new fangled windows? Ie7? vista?
  21. I think that the only things you missed is that the cacher in question is also a retired Oregon State Police Lieutenant and that the issue worked her up so much that she made a 'frantic phonecall' to the OP. What I don't understand is why a retired LEO/geocacher would jump to the conclusion that the item wasn't a geocache, did not discuss the possibility that it was a geocache with the police that came to check the item out and got so worked up regarding the issue that she was 'frantic', yet still hung around, got the pic, and made the find. It's almost as if this cache was identified as being in a 'bad' container and a few geocachers decided to make an example out of it and called it in to the authorities. I think this incident shows more whats wrong with some people than it does whats wrong with some geocaches. . . . sheesh!
