  1. I'm already working on one similar to what you mentioned, with a little twist...
  2. The only problem with the laser pointer idea is the beam is too tight, and you would be out there pointing fir a LONG time, unless you are more lucky than I am!
  3. ... and you do know what they call a Quarter-Pounder over there? right
  4. I'll take a look for you when I head there tonight.
  5. Imagine that, a bitter woman....... (I'm kidding, NO FLAMING!!!)
  6. I've seen it at Harbor Freight, and at the Army Surplus store
  7. Are you shunning you Jewish heritage and upbringing?
  8. My breath smells like cat food. My food smells like cat's breath?
  9. LOL! If you can find one of "those rocks" big enough to hide stuff in, it's gonna cost you!
  10. I've been doing some researching on Shrinky Dink and polyshrink online while I'm stuck at home with a bad foot. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. But one thing I read was that the plastic is directional. It shrinks more in one direction than another. Maybe placing the design longways versus crossways or vice versa would make a difference. And there is a special heat gun you can buy at craft stores. I became aware of them in connection to embossing greeting cards, but it would work for shrinky dinks too. I don't think a hair dryer has the right heat output. GPSKitty OK, Something I am qualified to comment on! My wife (apparently like Criminal's) is into the rubber stamping thing as well (she sells them). While you CAN use a hairdryer, it takes longer and blows a lot of the embossing powder away, so a heat gun is a better option. They do sell the crappy little craft heat guns in the craft stores, but my wife uses a regular old Wagner heat gun from the hardware store, and it works great. I think she found the most success using the toaster oven for the shrinky dink stuff.
  11. Legality would vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. You would have to check locally.
  12. I live in the general area of the "Rapid LLC company, and I saw a vehicle a couple weeks ago in traffic (a van or SUV with one of those magnetic panels on the door like real estate agents have sometimes). I thought about honking and asking them about the movie, but reasoned against it as I was hoping they had also forgotten, and didn't want to accidentally remind them!
  13. Is this dog discriminating and only barking at geocachers? I doubt it. I bet these people came out and yelled at park-goers long before your cache was placed, and will continue to place the blame outside the boundaries of their property even if you move the cache. Moving the cache will only change the audience that they yell at, but yell they will. I'd keep the cache there, and replace it if it was removed, but that's me.
  14. I am 6'2", but my inseam is about a 30", so I'm ALL torso. I have a Columbia jacket in 2XLT that fits great (I HATE having sleeves that fall well above my wrists). I also wear 13 shoes, which is becoming a lot more common than it used to be. Galyans stocks a good selection of large sized shoes, if you have one in your area.
  15. Smith & Eddie's IS a great place, but it's not around the corner for me. Overstock.com is based here too, and they have a store that is open to the public. I keep meaning to go check it out, because I bet they have a good selection of swag.
  16. JB Weld is my answer to everything. It has yet to fail me.
  17. I'm still waiting for someone to take this the wrong way. It WILL happen. And when it does, I hope there's a camera rolling so I can see them get slapped with a dead fish. Snideswipe, you also bring up a good point. More people should trade duct tape into caches for just this purpose. On a side note, I will occasionally leave McToys or a competitors counterpart in a cache if I have a new one, but never a used one. I have no kids, but have been with people that brought kids, and they are generally good at cleaning those things out. If they are junk to begin with, I clean those things out. I'm just not getting upset anymore about bad trades. There's too many other things that tick me off, so I had to bump that off the list. Maybe when some of those other things work themselves off the list, I'll start getting mad again. We'll see.
  18. Looks like you'll be ok as long as there are no planes overhead at the time...
  19. A one in a million doc! a one in a milion. LOL, except the pipe would be a bit worse than Fuccili Jerry....
  20. it's hard to say how deep that wound actually is, and whether it needs to be cleaned out by a doctor, or if a good scrubbing, a little neosporin and a bandaid will work. Personally, I would clean it up myself and see how I felt, but then again, I'm a guy, and a cheap SOB that would limp on it for a month until I would have to decide whether going to the doctor was better than hearing my wife tell me I needed to go to the doctor. Having no insurance as you stated, I'm sure your public parks division would have some sort of liability insurance that would cover your trip to a healthcare professional, just give them a call ASAP so you can work that out. How long ago did it happen? How does it feel now?
  21. Come on now, when have you EVER seen these forums get heated?
  22. Did she ever come back with an answer? I bet you could make a killing with Kosher bacon.....
