  1. Haven't had any problems in Pelham, NH - using IE10
  2. Hi W4C , No problem since my last post - just checked before I replied
  3. Haven't anymore problems after my 8/21/16 post - all three map links working on cache web page - just tried before posting this to be sure
  4. To add to what Rock Chalk said above, a couple specific answers that would be potentially helpful: How did you navigate to the map? Directly? From the search page map preview? From a PQ map preview? Which map layer are you using? Google Maps? One of the Leaflet layers? (If so, which?) Does the bug only occur after certain actions on the map (e.g. zooming, panning)? Or are you unable to open caches as soon as you open the map? Which browser version and OS version are you using? •How did you navigate to the map? From the cache page – I usually click on the “In (state) United States link (to the right of the page just over the, i.e. SW 57.4 mi from your home location. •Which map layer are you using? I use as shown in previous answer My husband uses the Google Map further down below the page on the right. •Does the bug only occur after certain actions on the map The little hand appears (vs. the arrow) as soon as the map is opened, and does not turn into arrow to open •Which browser version and OS version are you using? We are using IE 11 and Windows 7 We are in Pelham, NH - just tried again and all seems to be working okay now........
  5. Not working on our computers either - HELP - we use that map feature all the time!!
  6. Thanks Cindy - all find here in Pelham, NH
  7. In New Hampshire - 12:23 am 7/12/16 Windows 7 - IE - still same problem .......
  8. "You should address your concerns directly with Groundspeak." Not necessary. In this case, the travel bug was already in a cache in Germany and the discovery was legitimate as the logger had found the cache and actually saw the tb. Had no problem with it - only the picture posted which showed the tb# - so just deleted the picture, not the discovery log.
  9. We recently deleted a picture that was posted with "discovery" log for one of our tbs - in Germany. The discovery log is legitimate and it was discovered in the cache where it presently resides. Why did we delete the picture? Because it was of the tb tag itself (not the hitchhiker) with the number showing. Could eliminate the number with paint, but of course couldn't repost it. So this is just to show that because it is your tb/coin property and you have received notification of the log, you can delete their picture - and/or the log. Would suggest to NW Stinkerbella that you just go and delete their picture with your car tb and you don't have to delete the log itself if you don't want to, as we discovered with the legitimate "discover" log mentioned.... just deleted the picture with tb number.
  10. Thanks NOSNOW - I've just finished reading all of that link and the links within - guess I'll just go delete those three "discoveries" we received along with a friendly little note to D3R.MORPH3US who is the cacher (notice there was no mention of his name in the geocoin discussions). Happy caching 'n stay safe
  11. Recently had a cacher - in Germany - "discover" three of our travel bugs by finding their trackable numbers on the web! What do others think about this? I am so tempted to delete to delete those "discoveries". One of the tbs is in our personal possession - the other two have been among the "missing" for a long time. I (Mrs. H2) know that "discovering" geocoins and travel bugs (especially at events) is great to make a cacher increase his/her numbers for different challenges etc. but via the web? Suppose it's kinda the same as getting puzzle answers by doing a google search - or is it?
  12. Mrs. H2 is glad to be up at 12:35 a.m. and be the second to get a sneak peak at the "not final copy"....handsome geocoin! An early early HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY, Groundspeak and special wishes to those three special guys at the top: Jeremy - Elias - and Bryan SEE YOU IN SEATTLE P.S. Saw our profile pic on front page of geocaching.com - someone alerted me to it
  13. We're logged in to go..... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...f4-bc7620b3f2b8
  14. Thanks for sharing, Jeff We're two of many who are coming south to Nashville/Murfreesboro and Bell Buckle for GW VII. Charlotte (& Richard) from Pelham, NH
  15. Hikers2 are now back in very snowy New Hampshire. Thanks to all the replies, etc., on this thread. Although it went afield at certain times, all info was either helpful or interesting. Our final solution was to find two wooden sticks, some kind of scrubby brush, at a cache location just out of Albuquerque on the Rio Grande. We had a fantastic trip caching in NM, CO, UT, and AZ.
  16. We have a practically new yellow Etrex, in original packaging, with CD. Included are a serial connector to download caches from your PC, as well as a converter cable to use in your car. It also comes with a case. $75 plus shipping costs. Not trying to be rude or anything, seeing as I'm new to this whole geocaching experience, and it's been a lot of fun, but I've been seeing yellow Etrex's on eBay that are new in the package for around $60 shipped, so a practically new one for $75 seems pretty pricey Not rude at all. Please consider that I am offering 2 cables, which are about $20-25 each, as well as a $!0 case. Ah! Okay, I did not understand how expensive the cables were, my apologies Nor did we, until we got hooked on this crazy thing! Appreciate your concerns, of course.

  18. We want to thank all of you for your input, it was amusing and helpful. Thanks to the Kenosha,WI cacher for your follow-up. As a clarification, Hikers2 are centered in the photo, and our meet hosts are flanking us. I just have no idea about the positions of the hands. And, yes, the winters are long and dark in New Hampsha. Our first measurable snow fell today.
  19. Thanks to all who have commented. I have gotten a chuckle or two out of the replies, as well as some photo editing tips. To the wooden stick maker in Kenosha, WI----if we could take them on a plane, we would have no problem. Nice thought to get some at Wallyworld, and then leave them as swag, on purpose, at the last cache we attempt before flying back to New England. Wish us luck weatherwise.
  20. Thanks to all who dropped an answer to Mr. H2 question about hiking sticks - actually they are for me - Mrs. H2 as I need stability - we're trying to fly "carry-on" which would mean confiscation by security , but I'm sure either a Wal-Mart visit or spying a wooden staff somewhere will do the trick Thanks again
