  1. 1. Unknown - These are the ones I am most interested in, and are the only ones I've placed so far. 2. Multi - I've only done a couple of these, but they were really fun (plus the kids loved 'em). 3. Traditional - I just have this thing about ammo cans. The rest I am not really interested in (although I might try to make it to an event at some point).
  2. Serious question. I saw some nice gift size containers of coffee and tea and was going to get them to put in caches, but then got to wondering if maybe they are attractive to some animals. This is in Florida, so we have our share of raccoons, possums, etc.
  3. I just got a 4 CD box set of James Brown songs called "Star Time" which I highly recommend.
  4. "It's too cold for that gator to be very active."
  5. I'll agree with you there...you should *see* the geo-drift I've had on a few of my caches.
  6. I've said it before and I'll say it again: 56 65 72 79 20 63 6F 6F 6C 20 70 75 7A 7A 6C 65 20 21 21 21
  7. Do a "Print Scrn" and then paste that in a photo editor, then crop and save as a jpeg.
  8. Another vote for paint.net...free, easy to use, and dang near as many features as some of the high-dollar editing programs.
  9. You know what's weirder to me? When folks have hundreds (thousands?) of finds, and not a single photo in their gallery. Talk about not giving back!
  10. OK, I'll play: - I'd like to see one of my caches have at least 7 people "watching" it (the most I've seen locally is 6). - I'd like to find all of the puzzle caches of Punctatus (no hints please, I'm 5 for 7 already). - for finds, I'd like to average 1 per day...like an apple-a-day. I'm pretty close so far. - I'd like to see one of my caches have a dozen or so photos posted to the gallery.
  11. I have one that is pretty easy: see if you can figure out this one.
  12. "WARNING: Geocache Ordnance Area. Use Extreme Caution."
  13. Yes. I don't use any of the "extras" yet, but I still think it's worth it.
  14. Link please! I love a challenge... To the OP: you can always make up your own code.
  15. That's exactly my point: if caches were published without a reviewer seeing it first, there is the chance that it would be too close to pre-existing puzzles and multis.
  16. While I agree that "100% inspection does not always guarantee good service" I fail to see how lowering that percentage will help (other than speeding up the publishing process, which thus far has not been an issue with me). I suppose the fly in the ointment would be puzzle- and multi-caches, since the final coordinate(s) are not known.
  17. What difficulty rating were you considering?
  18. I figured it out, but I must say that I was initially about to send you a "correction" until I realized one of the characters was one that I never use in puzzles. Also, since I'm so much further east than you, I am used to one less character (in the longitude), which threw me for a second. Well done!
  19. I say leave it as it is. While it has stopped me from one cache placement (two city parks that are very close together), I don't think making it less restrictive will necessarily mean better caches.
  20. As a newcomer to geocaching, I just want to say I am soooooooo glad I missed *that* battle.
