  1. Let's see if I have this straight. You say you don't start flame wars, and then in the next breath you try to start one? Cmon. Yours might be about the most stupid response to a perfectly reasonable question that I've seen, either here or elsewhere. There are TONS of newbie and/or just very basic questions being asked here every day. Are you going to start posting your flaming trash in response to every one of them? - Mark No Mark I'm not. Just this one.
  2. Oh please... I am a member of several forums. Each dedicated to it's own interest. Mostly outdoor type stuff. I have been on the internet surfing forums for years. I don't get into flame wars. I am just not the type of guy to start crap on the net. But... I have to say that this is without a doubt, the most stupid question I have ever seen asked in any forum.... ever.
  3. Thanks to everyone. Especially you Blue for taking the time to go through all the records. Whenever I find a cache that is supposed to have a trackable, I will not in the log if it is missing. And thanks Isono for pointing out the NW Fl group.
  4. If you think it's more appropriate there, I understand. I just wanted to get as many opinions as posible, and thought there was a better chance for for local people to see it here. Thanks.
  5. We think the Geocoin and TB idea is a REALLY neat concept. In our limited experience (15 found) we have specifically targeted caches with TB’s or Geocoins in them. So far we have targeted 9 caches with TB’s or Geocoins. 7 of them were not there. I am just curious, is this something that is epidemic to our area, or is this par for the course nation wide? What is going on? Are people stealing trackable items in Pensacola? It just doesn’t make sense. Am I missing something? We have TBs bought and ready to go, but I am almost scared to put them out. Thoughts? http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...95-a28a1c718d77 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...dd-1a56b592714c http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...7b-c0c42b05a99e http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...d9-6706236b0d6b http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...87-e9c15691338e http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...b0-a5c5f54e7529 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...95-a28a1c718d77
  6. Sorry to hear that. We are fortunate to live in an area that seems to have a good group of folks that are into the hobby. I guess the only thing you can do is help spread the word by getting friends and faimly involved. Take people caching and get them hooked.
  7. Worked like a charm guys. Thanks. I noticed that when the points uploaded to the gps, the notes on the cache cut off at about a line and a half. Somtimes in mid word. Is that normal?
  8. I have searched the forum, with no luck. I am looking to transfer the waypoints from the site into mapsource and then into my 60csx. Any help would be appreciated.
