I posted my first earthcache for review on January 13th and have not heard anything yet. Was just a simple as placing a traditional cache, but not sure how long it will take with the new system--my "traditional caches" have always been posted in a day or two tops....I

Still into caches? I live in town (Placerville) and would love a cache buddy...
Just dropping in to say hello... I live in the Somerset/Fair Play area outside of Placerville. I started caching about 2 years ago, but only cached occasionally 'til this summer. I seem to have more time this year. I am married, no kids, unless you count the horses, dogs, cats, goats and emus! I've been described as a "rabid" cacher as I want to cache as often as possible. I also like to ride (horses), kayak, fish, and read.

I was having the tone/beeping issue with my Legend HCX (and MAC). Contact tech support and they wanted me to send unit in for repair post the "upgrade". I went a bought a new 2gig card instead and redownloaded the maps...seemed less of a hassle for something that is not really wrong.

I am having the dreaded buzzing issue. Contacted Garmin and they asked me to send the unit in for repair...what a PITA.

Is the unit still for sale? Do you have a photo of the screen protector?
I have an almost new Garmin Legend HCx GPSr for sale. I have the original box, accessories, manuals, etc. It is a refurbished unit that I bought a couple weeks ago, but decided to get a different model. It is in perfect condition and works great. Also included is a Zagg screen protector (installed).
I am asking $160 PayPal and shipped.
This GPSr has not been registered with Garmin yet, so it is open for registration.
This is sold as is with no refunds, no returns. Item is working perfectly and is like new.

F.S. Brand new Garmin Vista HCx this come with the owners manual, quick start guide, and usb cable. It is a brand new never used unit due to the fact the lanyard broke on it sent it in to Garmin and they decided to replace it with a New not Refurbished unit. I have only put batteries in it to ensure opperation but in the time they had it I bought an Oregon and don't need this one any more. I am asking $175
Does it have the basemap, MapSource and Trip Waypoint Manager Software too? I am sure I can find a wrist strap for it somewhere else...

Plan on getting an iTouch and to load the Groundspeak app. Will report on how well it works shortly. Have been out caching w/my Aunt and Uncle and using their Magellan to date.

Want to get an entry level GPS for geocaching and they are all about the same price.....can some one give me their feedback on which "they think is best"? Also may take on trip to Europe to help with finding our way....any experience with the Delorme off US soil...know I would have to buy the maps for the Garmins....
