  1. Count me in.

I just logged my 100th cache today. I redeemed myself on Pepper's You've Got Mail cache. I couldn't find it the first time and almost didn't this time. I did it on my lunch hour and am now a mess (more so than usual).

  2. Congratulations to Rockman on his 100th cache! I'm at 99 and was also considering one of Chuguy's caches for my 100th.

I had a couple of beers with Chuguy last night. He just got back from a backpacking trip to the Gem cache in the Emigrant Wilderness. He and Chugal were FTF for a cache that was over a year old.

  3. In addition to Mt. Diablo; Las Trampas, Briones & Sunol are terrific day hiking parks. All have an abundance of caches at various difficulty levels.

A little futher east, Morgan Territory and Round Valley also are a couple of my favorites. Both have at least 4-6 caches available.

The great thing about living in the Bay Area is all of the great hiking parks. All of which have lots of caches available.

Sounds like a typical Geocacher! Did he have a yellow gadget hanging from his neck? icon_wink.gif

  6. Too funny! I guess I should have run a search to see if there were any other caches with the same name. This cache is in a similar location in Dublin. I saw the word "Pioneer" on a sign and I remember reading the book by Willa Cather with the same title.

I'm going to be caching in and around Sonora, possibly Pinecrest, with my dad on Saturday. If I have time I'll check out your cache in San Andreas.

  9. All right Pepper!

Looking forward to the new caches, especially the one in Union City since that's where I work. I love lunch hour caches!

BTW Congratulations to Chuguy on the FTF on my new cache "Balancing Rock." Looks like I owe him a beer.

    Horizontals where it's at!

Hey! It was noon when I placed it yesterday and easily 90+ degrees. icon_smile.gif No too hilly, although not alot of shade either. Bring plenty of water. The park opens at 8:00 am and closes at sunset.

Hmm.. when I follow that link, I just get redirected to the http://www.geocaching.com/hideseek/ page. Usually I can view them even before they're approved. Maybe you have the URL wrong? Did you piss off one of the admins? Have you been eating your wheaties?

Anyway, I'm up for a new cache. Let us know!

    Hey Mitch.

The link works for me. I just tried it from here. It's still not approved. Maybe later today.

    ps. I don't eat wheaties. They're evil.

It's just an old fasion cache. No puzzles, no math, no physics, just a tupperware box o'stuff hidden in the woods. I forgot a prize for FTF, so if you're the first, email me and I'll buy you a beer at the Hopyard in San Ramon.
