  1. Thanks for the link MooseJawSpruce, I will look into it and send in an application tonight...
  2. First, I would like to thank everyone who has sent well wishes and who have bid on these coins, I really appreciate the love and kindness that everyone here has offered for Max and his family. Second, an update on Max's condition: He seems to be getting better and has put back on quite a bit of the wieght he had lost. The doctor thinks that he has a very good chance of the cancer going into remission as long as we can keep up on the chemo treatments. Also, one of his twice daily meds (Prednisone - a steroid) has been reduced to just a single daily dose which both Max and myself like because he hates taking the pills and I don't like to force them down his throat. He seems to be almost back to his normal healthy self and has definately gotten a lot of his energy back as he is now running around the house like he used to and he just HAS to be involved in anything that any of his human slaves are doing. We can't open a cupboard or drawer or even the refrigerator without him poking his nose into it! Lastly, I have posted up 16 more trackable coins today (and some non-trackables which are not listed here but you can find them on eBay) and there will be lots more coming. I have also changed my new listings to include shipping overseas, I appologize for the first listings being only able to ship to the US. I am not posting these up in any specific order, I am just taking them out in large groups and posting them up for sale. So keep checking back here or on the 'e' place for newer listings. I will continue to update here on this forum as well as on FB whenever I add more coins or whenever Max's condition changes... 10 Years Geocoin (I think this is the Idaho version) Claddagh Geocoin Cache Eagle (GCC Sept 2009) Geocoin NOV64 Geocoin (There are two seperate listing because I have multiple of this one) Scooby, Shaggy and Velma Geocoin Seattle Ink Geocoin Earthcache Geocoin Johnny Boy & DB cooper Geocoin 3 Wise Monkeys Geocoin Eagle 618 Geocoin Lost Coast Cachers Geocoin 2009 Lackey Geocoin NOV64 Geocoin I Came, I Saw, I Cached Geocoin Washington State university Geocoin One last thing, someone asked me why I was selling these coins on eBay instead of just listing them here on the forums. My reason for using eBay instead of directly selling them on the forums is because I have had to take a second job and just do not have the time to sort through all of the email requests that would be generated by selling them directly here. I wish that I had the time to sell them here, but unfortunately I just can't do it at this time. Thanks again for everyones support and help through this difficult time...
  3. Steph, I am really sorry to hear about Joe and Kody. Knowing how much you care for animals, I can only imagine how hard that decision was for you and I am not looking forward to having to make that decision when it is Max's time. I can honestly tell you that I have cried a few times with Max, just knowing that eventually the cancer will come back and I will have to make the decision, I just hope that I am strong enough to make it when the time comes....
  4. Right THIS moment he is being his usual pain in the rear self. I just got home from a 14 hour day at work and he won't leave me alone, he is craving attention and is wanting his treats (he gets them after his meds).. As for the cancer, after three weeks of treatments his tumor has shrunk quite a bit and he definately has his appetite back. When we first found out about it, he weighed in at just a little over 5 pounds (his lifetime average was 6.5 - 7.0 pounds), this week he weighed in at almost 8 pounds! The bad side is that the cancer has not only gotten into his gastrointestinal tract but has also gotten into his lymph nodes, so surgery to remove it is not an option anymore. The best hope we have is the chemo treatments knocking the cancer into remission. After that it is just a wait and see situation until it comes back again. All in all he is doing much better now and should be around for a while longer as long as we keep up on the chemo and the keep having him checked out for any new masses. Thanks to everyone who has been bidding and especially to everyone who has offered up words of prayer and encouragement, you have no idea how much it means to me and my family...

Thanks again for all of your kind words and support. We need all the help we can to get Max through this trying time. I just wish that he could understand what is happening to him and why he has to go through all of these doctor visits and all of these medications and tests and stuff.
  6. Recently my kitty cat (Max - See my profile pic) was diagnosed with Gastrointestinal Lymphoma (Large cancerous tumor in his intestines) and is currently under the care of a veterinary oncologist. His outlook is pretty good and he has already begun responding to the chemotherapy treatments. However the treatments and vet visits are very expensive and I have had to make some hard money decisions lately. Since Max is more improtant to me and my family than a lot of other things, we have decided to sacrifice some of our favorite things in order to pay for his treatments. For me this means that I have reluctantly agreed to sell off most of my geocoin collection in order to save Max. I have already listed 10 geocoins on the 'E' place and will be adding to the list as fast as I can. Please take a moment to check out the listings and if you can please bid on as many as you can to help me save Max. Here are a couple of the listings, you can click on the 'See Other Listings' link to see the rest. Thanks for all of your support... 2008 Snowman Suncatcher Labor Day geocoin

  16. Just outside of the Lancaster/Palmdale area in Southern California are the Tarot series (78 traditional and 3 bonus puzzles caches - GC20J05 Tarot The Sun) and the No Clue series (Over 90 caches, mostly traditionals and a few puzzles - GC1MCCN No Stopping). There are also tons of others in that area of all different types and sizes just waiting to be found. Out near Searchlight, NV (about a hour from Las Vegas) there a couple of other series of caches to net you a couple of hundred finds. Some are off road and some near the paved road...
  17. I will never forget meeting Mike and his girls at GCF 2009. It has always been and will always be my favorite caching memory. We spent the better part of the afternoon together doing the crazy TRAXX challenge, riding the train from cache to cache and trying to find the caches before the next train came. We all had a great time chasing around the city looking for caches... You are missed Mike, and I hope to meet you again when the time is right...
  18. Check out this thread for info on making custom coins, you can make 1 or as many as your heart desires... My Personal Geocoin
  19. I got Lenore's (Dressel Dragons) and David's (Seeker Family) in the mail today!!! Once this rain stops I will get out and find a couple of nice caches to drop them into and get em movin'!!!
  20. Maybe you should consider joining in Avroair's new mission... Avroairs New mission - Click here
  21. Another vote for the kitties!!! Here is Max sitting in an empty trash can waiting for the birds to come. You can see outside the window there is a large amount of bird seed on the ground (the birds fling it out of the feeder hanging above). Max found that he could hide in the empty trash can right next to the window and wait for the birds. Once the birds start coming around and start picking at the seed on the ground he would pop his head out of the trash can and scare them all away. I guess for an indoor only cat that is what you have to do for entertainment...
  22. Here is a picture of my cat Max, he has found the warmest place in the whole house to nap... Obviously I am voting for cats....
  23. And from my sig line... Some people are like slinkys. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
  24. I just checked the eBay listing guidlines and it says that you CAN list items for presale as long as the item will be shipped to the buyer within 30 days (at least that is how I understood it). Their listings indicate that they should have the coins in hand within two weeks. As for the coin itself, it is a nice design but I wouldn't pay as much as they are asking for them. I checked out the website that is listed on the coin and it is a nice professional looking website, but they have absolutely no products for sale anywhere on the site. And since they are not a regular minter/vendor of geocoins I personally will not go in for the presale.
