  1. Yeah that'd be cool... really, all that's there now is a pile of loose dirt, but it'd be neat for people to check out where the body was. I know I shouldn't have been bushwhacking in the first place, but to be honest, there really was no logical reason for me to go through brush that was so thick. If you believe in such a thing, I almost feel like it was meant to happen like divine intervention... the scary thing is that the newspaper Paul Gregory was originally posted as missing in was issued on May 16, 1992. My BIRTHDAY. Kinda freaky, huh?
  2. You're in luck! I uploaded the entire CBS interview with us... you can get it here: http://www.creed-fanatic.com/bbd This particular cache has only been here since December... so you wouldn't have been able to get it back in July anyway
  3. Well, what happened was we thought we took the wrong path (later to find we were right the first time). Instead of going back and taking the the path we thought was right, we cut through the brush to get back on track. So that's when we came across this skull... ugh...
  4. Oh its MUCH worse... the cache isn't actually in the brush, but that's where we were looking
  5. Hey all, Tim here... the "bone collector". I'm the one that found the body... I have never experienced any caching trip quite like this one. Anyway, the body is a skeleton that has been there for 12 years. We only found the skull and a couple bones with some old tennis shoes, but it turns out the police dug up 99.9% of the person. It was all down there except for the jaw. All I know is that they are pretty sure they know who it is... and my sources (reputable) tell me that the guy left a suicide note the day before he killed himself saying that he was going somewhere that NOBODY would find the body. And let me tell you... the brush was so thick, I couldn't see 5 feet in front of me... total 1/1,000,000 shot.
  6. I have tried everything and found success with only ONE application... Mac SimpleGPS!!!! go check it out... I'm using a Magellan 315 (works with garmin too) with a serial to usb adapter and you can make your own waypoints, drag&drop .loc files, and sync all your waypoints to your computer. Best of all, its FREE!!!
  7. Its not going to be USB... they don't make them for USB. However, you COULD buy a serial to USB adapter... Are you still selling this cable? I'm interested if you are POSITIVE it will work with a Magellan 315. If not, I could always sell it on eBay. Email me at TimUSCA@bellsouth.net
  8. quote:Originally posted by Alan2:I heard of someone else who was riped off about a year ago buying a GPS at Ebay. I've never bought through them and can't figure out why anyone would take a chance. Aren't most sales from venders anyway? The few bucks you save just isn't worth the aggravation. It's not only the price but the support. If you have a problem with a product you buy from a reputable dealer, you can return it, swap it, etc. Isn't that worth the 5%-10% savings to buy through Ebay? DOn't you get what you pay for? Just my observations. Alan Well, yes... it IS worth it. I buy nearly everything on eBay and save a lot more than 5-10%. On items that you don't mind being used (ie GPS unit), you can saves loads of cash. The way you avoid getting ripped off is by looking at their feedback ratings... you can bet that anyone with over a 95% positive feedback is a sure bet. I have only ben ripped off once and that was the first time I ever bid on something because I was foolish and did not look at feedback. Ever since, I have bought dozens of items with faster, cheaper shipping and an excellent deal, even on new items...
  9. check here... there's someone that has the cable and case. http://ubbx.Groundspeak.com/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=5726007311&f=2216058331&m=26660686
  10. Well, the newer macs only have USB and Firewire... however, they DO have serial to USB adapters... so maybe it'll work. I just bought a 315 from eBay, so as soon as I find out what works, I'll get back you ya...
  11. quote:Originally posted by dave and jaime:if and when you get one i can sell you a pc cable or a pc/power cable and a case for cheap. 'Get to the point---speak English!!!!' Well, I work on a Mac, so do you think it would work on there? If so, how much you selling for? If not, maybe you could sell just the case? Thanks!
  12. I've heard from a lot people that this is by far the best one to get if you're on a tight budget... anyone have one to sell? I can get one for under $100 on eBay but was hoping to avoid the hassel of bidding and watching all the time.
  13. I'm interested... although would you consider maybe $70 shipped? I'm a little tight on budget, so I'm doing my best. Thanks! -Tim
  14. I tried sending you email but it came right back to me... care to email me at bigbassdrummr@cs.com? Thanks! -Tim
