woooooooo hooooooooooo...a mystery coin for the frogs....got an e-mail a while ago that Geo Sasquatch had been to 1 of our caches.........these frogs hopped on down there( its only 1/4 mile from our lily pad)...... looked around to make sure "he" was not still lurking in the trees...Does Sasquatch eat frog legs??? lol...I had to have Mrs.Frog hold the flashlight while I looked & found this great coin.........Thanks Sasquatch........

If removing the coin icon from the cache list pages would help more coins survive, I would be all for it. There would need to be a way for cache owners to be able to tell if a coin was supposed to be in their cache though. I feel that checking on the presence of coins in your cache is part of cache maintenance, including moving coins that have sat in your cache for too long. There doesn't seem to be a lot of theft (aside from muggled caches) in our area, so we feel lucky.

Both coins may not have been stolen. A cacher could have lost a coin and is embarrassed to admit it. Could be in the bottom of a backpack, forgotten.........Could have been picked up by someone who had a very unfortunate accident or something and is not currently caching...........really any number of things could have happened. I don't think theft is really the first thing I would assume, unless there were something pointing to that--entire cache muggled for instance. The coins could still show up again.
