  1. I don't know. DHobby1 was right behind him. Already had his in the works. So if it hadn't been Moun10bike, it would have been DHobby1 or somebody else.
  2. Agreed. There will be plenty of buyers.
  3. Sorry to burst your bubble, but a Rhode Island geocoin was indeed produced. Here's a picture of it:
  4. Coins and Pins can also do this for you. So can The Caching Place.
  5. How many are you minting? How much will they cost? Will there be a limit on the number of coins purchased?
  6. That's what I've been trying to do. But with a couple hundred coins in there, when I get a new coin (e.g. Avroair or Blind Avocado), I have to move most of the coins to make room at the beginning of the collection. So I've been thinking about changing to when I receive them and keeping track of which book number, which page number, and which pocket number.
  7. Like I said, the scotch tape has a tendency to stick to the plastic flips, making them sticky. This means that you can't use them anymore.
  8. What year? Because this year the 14th is on Saturday and Sunday is the 15th.
  9. I agree, you couldn't have known. And guess what? I received the coin in the mail today! So I got to see it right after. No big deal. Anyway, to get back on topic: 1 - Benchmark Four Corners 1 - Ckayaks 1 - GBA Faultline 1 - Kootenay Pirates
  10. So did I. And now you've spoiled it for me!
  11. I also staple twice along the sealing flap and tape over that with packing tape. I also tape the coin to the inside of the bubble mailer. Be careful how you do this. Because scotch tape has a tendency of sticking to the plastic flips that coins usually come from the manufacturer, thus making them unusable. And I actually had somebody scotch tape the coins! Now they're all sticky! Yuk!
  12. You have to watch the postings on the forum for when a new coin comes out or will be made. Ok ... Does it happen often ? It's happening quicker and quicker lately!
  13. We (COOL) already are selective, at least as far as the members are concerned. They can choose to buy a coin or not and they can choose how many they want to purchase based on the coin. We do have default numbers set up, in case we run across a coin issue that we need to jump on quickly.
  14. Here's our next meeting: Geocoin Collectors Anonymous Meeting
  15. True, but you have to first find a location that is unbiased, meaning that it doesn't matter what company, auction or individual is selling a coin. Then you have to have someone or several people moderate it. Otherwise certain individuals among us would run ramped. Speak for yourself!!!
  16. No. If they're using them to go to events, they keep them in their possession until they drop them in the event. Then, after everybody at the event has had a chance to log the geocoin, the owner will grab it back and keep it in their possession.
  17. Prayers from another motorcycle rider here in Salt Lake City, Utah.
  18. I've sent you an email on behalf of the COOL coin group for 17 coins.
  19. 1 - 2Hillbillies 1 - Cacheper 2 - GCC - ROT 13
  20. And what about putting 2006 on the bottom, Parents of on the left leg, and SAM on the right leg?
  21. 1 - Camp Explorer Gold 1 - Dutch 1 - Pengy & Tigger 1 - WorkerOfWood
  22. You can request, but you won't get them. That's because the prefix will always be PF (for Phone-A-Friend) and the other 4 will be random numbers and/or letters from geocaching.com.
  23. I represent the COOL coin buying group and we would probably buy about 25 coins. We prefer to have S&H added after the coin, because we purchase in bulk.
