  1. When you log your visit, there will be a box down at the bottom of the screen listing all TBs/coins that you have in your possession. Just click on the item (or hold down the Ctrl key and click on multiple items) and then when you post your visit the item(s) will be placed in the cache.
  2. Got mine today in the mail. They're great.
  3. In the description, enter the following: A "less than" sign (<) A lower case "a" (a) A space ( ) The phrase (href=) The web address within double quotes ("http://www.utahgeocachers.com") A "greater than" sign (>) The text you want to display as the link (Utah Association of Geocachers) A "less than" sign (<) A forward slash (/) A lower case "a" (a) A "greater than" sign (>) And this is what it would look like: Utah Association of Geocachers
  4. What we did in UTAG was to create a travel bug page, where individuals can post their travel plans and others can then read those travel plans when they have a travel bug in their possession.
  5. Although it is nice to have another icon on GC.com!
  6. Because that's the requirement from GC.com - 1,500 minimum number of coins at $1.50 per coin.
  7. Clyde, here's something you might want to think about. Work with GC.com and give a free month premium membership with the registration of GSAK. If somebody uses the PQs for a month along with GSAK, they'll be hooked and keep paying the premium membership. So for a $3 investment, GC.com can increase their premium membership base.
  8. I don't think so. However, you could use this: %drop2"-"%con1"-"%typ1, which would give: 3Q3S-U-B, 4ABC-V-V or 5XYZ-M-T. Or you could use this: %drop2"-"%con=2"-"%typ=2, which would give: 3Q3S-Un-Le, 4ABC-Vi-Vi or 5XYZ-Mi-Tr. Edited: To fix a typo.
  9. What does it say in the Application used to perform action: box? Mine has the program name, followed by a space, -url, another space, and "%1": C:\PROGRA~1\MOZILL~1\FIREFOX.EXE -url "%1" This works for me. When I click on a cache and select Show online (in browser), it opens up a firefox window with the cache description from GC.com.
  10. Hmm, GSAK just does a windows hook to "open" for the extension type. How are you doing the file association? You can have many actions associated with a file extension, it is the "open" action that must be explicitly associated with your default browser. In Windows Explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options..., and click on the File Types tab. In the Registered file types:, scroll down to HTM and single click on it. Then click on the Advanced button. In the Actions: box, single click on Open and then click on the Edit... button. If it doesn't say firefox in the Application used to perform action: box, click on the Browse... button and find the firefox application (mine is C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe). Click on the program and then click on the Open button. Then click on the OK button twice. Now do the same thing for the HTML file type (although for me, Windows changed it for me automatically). Finally, click on the Close button.
  11. Could you maybe set it as on option? So those who don't want them can not include them and those who want them can have them. Probably set it so that it defaults to including them.
  12. Sissy, I've sent you payment through PayPal and have replied to your email. I'm looking forward to receiving these great coins. Thanks, GrandpaKim
  13. Personally, I would rather not pay for the GC.com tracking ability. Having them numbered is great, but that only adds about 30 cents a coin.
  14. I'll be ordering my bronze coins through the COOL group. However, put me down for 2 silver coins. Thanks, GrandpaKim
  15. Same here. I hadn't specified an amount, just an intention to order some when the time came. I'll now be included in the COOL group.
  16. I'm part of the COOL group, so my request made on July 6 for 5 is included in Redwing_dave's request. Thank you. Edit: Added date of request.
  17. I agree. You've got to attend events. They're a great place to meet other cachers and trade stories or ask questions. I've met a lot of cachers at events and made some good friends. I've also learned some things from listening to people talk. As far as logging the TBs, that's up to you. Some cachers say it's bad because you didn't move the TB along. Others say it's ok because you had the TB in your hands. Kinda looks to be like you pays your money and takes your choice. I know some cachers that started out logging all TBs at an event and got bored with that and now just log those TBs that they actually remove from the event and place in some other cache.
  18. No it's not, it's their coin. People from Tennessee should get first dibs, and if they get em all, good for them. If there was enough for everyone they wouldn't be limited, would they? Then again I don't want any of the limited edition coins, so maybe that's why it doesn't bother me. I agree. At least with the part about they can do what they want with the coins. I would love to get some of the LE coins, but I don't think it's going to happen. I mean there are only 25 gold coins and 100 silver coins. And if the people from Tennessee don't snatch them all up in the first 10 minutes, I'll be surprised.
  19. It is, but what can we do about it? Another way to look at is that the people actually had the TB in their hands, in order to record the TB number. So they picked it up and then placed it back in the same cache (usually an event cache).
  20. When I click on the link, I get Page Not Found from EarthLink.
