  1. I love doing both. Whenever we go caching I try to print out any nearby benchmarks. Somehow they always take alot longer to find than the caches.
  2. Me- AS/400 Programmer/Analyst Better Half - Legal Assistant w/ Engineering Degree getting ready to start Law School.
  3. From the main page select advanced search. Then change "By Postal Code" to "By Username Hidden".
  4. There are limited caches in my area so new ones are of great interest to me. I have set up Windows Active Desktop to synchronize with geocaching.com every couple hours. It looks at the search page by my zip code. When this page has changed from the last synchronization Windows Active Desktop will email me a copy of the page. I now know if any new caches have been posted every two hours. 5. quote:Originally posted by BassoonPilot:It's obvious, isn't it? People flock to the newest cache because it's usually the only one in the area they haven't found. After the active locals have found the cache, it sits around for the casual cacher, occasional newbie or visitor from outside the area. This is the case here in Corpus Christi. There are two active cachers and several casual ones. The two of us are the only ones putting out new caches so one of us is usually the FTF the other's caches.
  6. Or you can do it the easy way. From the main page go to advanced search. Select "By Username (Hidden)" instead of "By Postal Code" Enter Username and away you go.
  7. I have seen a user who logs a TB they own in every cache they find. They drop it in the cache and then pick it right back up again. This creates a mapped log of your caches.
  8. I do most of the driving so she does the navigating in the car. Once we park, we just take turns with the GPS. I wanted to get a new ETrex last night but she nixed that idea.
  9. Thanks for the tip. I just added a background, didn't know it was that easy.
  10. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2185397763&category=3628 Hmm.. Very interesting.
  11. I assume you are talking about GOX Bound Xterra #1 travel bug. The cache log indicates who dropped it. Why don't you contact them and ask for the activation code?
  12. We gound our first last night in Corpus Christi. Great new addiction Looking forward to more.
