  1. can you not delete the keyfile from under the menu 'utilities'... Map unlock? You can view the lists of map(s) you have unlocked/Installed... and you can delete any one of those. I haven't done it myself but I am guessing that would disable the map being unlocked in mapsource. ? No?
  2. http://www.sirf.com/PressRoom/Press.aspx?P...7&Home=true ???
  3. I've bought one few weeks ago and just got it yesterday. Yes it seems to be very durable, very easy to installed, very easy to RE-install. Still not sure why I spent $10 on it. I think the little box that came with it cost more than the product itself.
  4. Not to be rude but have you even bothered to look at the product you wanted to buy? to see what is included? or what additional maps are available? https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=145&pID=310
  5. So... Sanyo Eneloop Wins. Case closed!
  6. Sanyo Eneloop for the win. It's not often you see a review of battery. http://www.stefanv.com/electronics/sanyo_eneloop.html Now, remember your question was which battery LAST LONGEST. Not which battery has the most capacity. Eneloop is even good enough to use as a remote control battery!! Heck,,, it even comes PRE-CHARGED!
  7. Map & route redraw speed may be affected ? Is this true? Personally when I am using my 60CSx in car, I like to keep it at 120m view. Unless I zoom down to 50m?80m? I do not see any POI icons on the screen. So, performance affected only when icons are drawn? I am guess performance will be reduced regardless because 60CSx still have to calculate the POI information anyways, right? Well, I don't really need/want ANY POI loaded up, I do want it in my unit but just not loaded it if that can really boost some redraw speed of the unit. If I need to look up something from built-in POI can't I just search for that and have it only show that? I am not sure how all this work inside 60CSx but... Any feedbacks?
  8. Do Custom POI count as ... Waypoints/favorites/locations? If not, what is the maximum number of Custom POI I can upload ?
  9. Look what I found! http://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/product....product=1918700
  10. Isn't that one of the characteristics of LCD? Google "lcd in cold temperature"
  11. Remember,,, you are not going to any voice prompt with 60CSx. Only Beep sounds.
  12. Check out the following linkage to TTFF comparison. You'll be shocked how sloooow Garmin products are. http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=102346
  13. i've never purchased map on SD card but... i am guessing you can either insert to memory card reader or your gps unit and from mapsource... tell it to receive from GPS? and select maps? have you tried this simple method ?
  14. Will there be any performance related issues on GPS unit when map(s) are combined to one larger map? A lot more calculations done internally?
  15. Hello again... I would really appreciate it if you members can share your workflow of Geotagging. What software do you use to inject the coordinate to your photos? I personally use GPicSync. Where do you upload your photos to? I don't have my own server, so I use Flickr account. How do you mash up your photo with your track ? I use this website actually... http://www2.adamfranco.com/photosetToKML.php Altho,,, not all options seem to work properly but this is all i know for now that worked. (i would like to actually have a windows software to generate KML or KMZ output. Woul like to know what you use). Am I missing anything else? If so please share with us all. Thank you!!
  16. Hello. I am just getting in to playing with Geotagging my photos. I have ran into problem which isn't working out too good for me. OK... First of all... here is a link to my Geotagged photo link to Google Map. http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en&a...p;z=17&om=1 Problem is if I have a multiple photos stacked together GoogleMap does like automatically spread them out? If you view the link with GoogleEarth, stacked photos will spread out so you can easily view them. Is this feature not available on GoogleMap? Is it only a GoogleEarth feature? If so,,, do you have any other workaround I can do ? I would apprecaite your feedback(s) !! --------------------
  17. Did you give this a try? Your 60CSX also has a mass storage mode. Oh I am not that newbie with computers. I have dugged through all the properties under device manager for disks. Information just isn't there...
  18. Well... Wiki is showing that it contains unique 10 digit serial number. Yes, I did try Enter + Power On with my 60Csx. It does not show any information about memory card used. I guess I need to borrow my brother's nuvi to get this information. There must be a software that can.
  19. Spend even bit more money and get yourself a Garmin Colorado. It just looks so much cooler
  20. Hello. Seen any reviews anywhere? If so, please post link here for all.
  21. Colorado is now listen @ Garmin.com
  22. Since this unit runs on Windows CE... Maybe someone can get Triton software to run on other brands of GPS units that also runs on Windows CE. (ex. Mio Digiwalker, which people are already unlocking to install other types of softwares like, iGuidance, TomTom, few others,,, I think Garmin Mobile XT might be able too in future?)
  23. Hello. Does anyone here know how to read the 10-digit unique serial number that is assigned to every type of memory card? In this case, I would like to find out the serial number on my SD Memory card. Any Windows program that can get this information(s) ? With Garmin nuvi, 10-digit serial number of inserted memory card can be read from it's hidden service menu. Does Garmin 60CSx have some sort of hidden service menu aswell ? Would appreciate your input. Thank you!
  24. Umm... Can we stay with the topic please? Thank you.
