Also, make sure you go to Palm's website and download the latest edition (v4.14e) of their desktop software if you want to be able to sync with Vista on the PC/laptop......if you have XP you should be fine with bundled software with the 505. John

My older Tungsten T3 works fine with Vista Home Premium. I use GSAK to send to the Palm and Cachemate to manage the data points on the T3. John

Well, I used an basic yellow etrex for years, both in the city as well as in the burbs. It will do everything you need it to do for geocaching and will cost you less than $50 on eBay.......that is the minimal that you will need. The H series units and the color ones are nice, but you do not *nned* them for caching. John

Well, you've definitely saved me a call to Garmin. I was just curious as to how much it would cost to unlock my copy of City Nav for son's Legend. Apparrently I cannot do it, and it is in now way worth that amount of money to unlock it to s second unit, even if it could be done. Now, I'm curious as to what would happen if my 60CSx would die for some reason and have to be replaced (under warranty)......would my unlock codes with the old unit? John

.....and I do that with my old Legend when trying to unlock for this second unit and everything works fine until I get an error message that says I do not have a cusotmer code for this unit. No, I don't, that is what I am trying to get from Garmin. I agree with the OP, the process for unlocking a second unit is tedious and frustrating. I was even following the steps exactly from the Garmin support page and it still does not work. i suppose a call to Garmin is in order here. John
