  1. I have found that my Legend HCx seems to be a little off lately and I was wondering if there was a way to callibrate it. I did a search but I couldn't find anything. Not sure if I put in the wrong search paramaters. Any help wouold be greatly appreciated.
  2. Is there a special train running that Sunday as the Northlander site says the Polar Bear Express doesn't run Saturdays or Sundays? Just trying to work out all the logistics on this one as I really want to make it to this event. I miss living up there and kinda wish that I never would have had to move.
  3. Sorry if I let the cat outta the bag. I was actually looking for something else on the site and saw these. Ordered 3 right away. Can't wait to get them in.
  4. My bad sorry about that. Thanks for the proper link sdkonkle!
  5. While I was trying to secure a Project APE geocoin (thanks Tooey), a new coin was hinted at by Landsharkz and I found it on their site today. It celebrates the GeoTriad which I will be heading out west to complete later this spring. For anyone interested try this link: . Hope it works for everyone.
  6. For anyone that is looking for embelishments, Landsharkz makes a trackable specifically for walking sticks. http://www.landsharkz.ca/index.php?content...amp;prod_id=445 Hope that link works. That's the BN one they also have a AS one I believe.
  7. As a vendor I may be biased but I agree that the majority are honest. Unfortunately the few that aren't are really hurting the majority that are! What can we do to distinguish ourselves? I don't like the idea of adding rules and certifications, but if that is what its going to take to show that our company is reputable then so be it! So many people have been saying that we should only buy from companies that are 'established' and 'reputable'... but if all we hear is the negative how do people seperate the good from those who are just not-a-scammer-yet? In an ideal world happy customers do your marketing for you, but realisticly we tend to only hear about the 'bad apples' on here. Perhaps are we going about this backwards? In addition to the delinquent vendor thread is it time for a positive experience thread? Just some rambling thoughts... This is what I am talking about with a FEEDBACK forum on other forums I frequent. It is a subforum that is for both POSITIVE and NEGATIVE feedback for traders and vendors. Like I have brought up before I was surprised that a place that has a trade and sell area didn't have a feedback area.
  8. Tooey, after seeing these photos I hope that I can do this coin justice in it's travels and post pictures as incredible as these. Thanks again for this coin.
  9. Well I know that on a few of the other forums I requent for other loves in my life, like paintball and snowboarding, there is a traders feedback area. It offers a place for people to leave positive or negative feedback about a trader. I know it opens itself to a lot of mud flinging but if a person had more positves than negatives I may be more apt to trade with them rather than if they had more negatives. It is opinion based but at least it would be somewhere for a person to start if they wanted to trade with someone.
  10. It's been a long time since I lived up there, gotta be 26 years I think. I lived 150 miles south of James Bay or so it was always told to me by my parents. Lived in a small Ontario Hydro community on the Abitibi river. I made the Moosonee/Moose Factory/ Polar Bear Express trip once when I lived up there and loved it. Actually have the canoe carving I bought while I was there sitting right on my bookcase right now. I am going to try my hardest to make this event too. I'd love to see all the changes.
  11. Sad that such a nice looking coin created so much ugly forum activity.
  12. he dressed up like a girland made mud pies?
  13. Congrats to all the winners and thanks for the cointest WSR. I actually crossed one off my list already. I got TPTB here at home to let me get a new GPSr. I am now caching with an Oregon 300.
  14. Well it looks like the deal I was working on fell through because I was away from the computer for a few days I am still looking for an unactivated one so please let me know if there are any out there available, preferably for sale or trade/sale.
  15. We have something arriving from the mint next week that may fit the bill . I guess I'm 'letting the cat out of the bag' on a new coin , but it could save you a lot of searching. Our soon-to-be-released coin is 1/3 Project APE (Mission 9: Tunnel of Light) and 2/3 other stuff . Are you going anywhere else geo-related on your trip? The trip is to include a trip to the Original Stash Spot, an Mount St. Helens and as many other local caches as possible. I hope you e-mail headquarters to set up an appointment for THE tour - Annie usually does those. It's on the list As soon as we set the final firm dates we will be sending in the request for tour. Hope we get in

  17. I prefer to deal direct on here if possible then to have a member have to pay fees on an auction site but I thank you for the info.
  18. I am looking for an unactivated Project APE Geocoin. I wasn't into collecting coins when these were released but with a trip planned to the Project APE cache later this spring I am looking for one to bring along with me. I don't really have a lot of traders so I am looking to buy it or maybe a trade with money as well. I hope someone on here may have one that they might be willing to part with. PM me through my profile. Thanks a lot. kayn
  19. I was on the auction bay tonight and I saw an APE coin. I am planning a trip to the APE cache this May and would really like to get ahold of one before then. I don't really like that site so I hope that someone here may have one that they are willing to part with. Not much to trade but I am willing to buy or trade/buy if I can find one. Let me know. Looking for unactivated only right now. Thanks. kayn
