It's just a game. If you are going to whine about it and just quit SEE YA LATER! You can stay and try to change the things you dont like. I cache alone quite a bit. If I get tired or board of it I take someone and introduce them to the game. Get help if you need it and Good Luck!

It took me for ever to figure out what URP is. or ULP.

I have a Triton 1500. I love it. It did have some problems when I first got it but the firmware updates fix them. I found it at wal mart for $199.00 a great buy. I came with maps and a case. The unit by itself was 499.00. I Love it. The only thing I don't like about it is no way to mark a found geocache. I also got a base map on ebay that works great. Hope this helps.

I was watching NASA tv and there was a program on geocaching. Looked up the web site. I already had a gps. Checked out my home town aera and noticed there were hundreds around, Found my first on about 1/10 mi from my house and was hooked.

I have a triton 400 and download .gpx files. Open vantage point software. Click on the vp logo in the upper left corner and select open then select downloaded files. You can do several at a time. Then just hook up your gps and sync. DONE>

I use old pill bottles and paint or wrap with black or camo duct tape . One I placed a magnet from a old computer hard drive. Very strong magnet. under the tape. I works well and usuly have may different sizes of rx bottles around to choose from.

My son is getting into scouting and I was wandering if anyone knows if boy scouts do geocaching? If so do you have any advice?
