  1. Many thanks to all who helped. Especially Markandlynn - This is exactly what I was looking for. Cheers
  2. There is a possibility that i may be asked to do a presentation to an International group of Girl Guide leaders into what geocaching is. I remember a while ago someone posted a brilliant powerpoint presentation for teachers covering an intro to our sport. I was wondering if i could get a copy (if so where) Please. Many thanx Dan
  3. If it's not too late late i'd like 3 of the coins. cheers Dan PS will e-mail too.

  5. I know some geocachers that are heading over to Florida in the next couple of weeks and they're planning to take a few with them already i'm sure another one wouldn't matter - Otherwise i know a cacher who lives near New York who i regulary exchange TB's with e-mail me if you still need that TB lift

  7. I'm sure i noticed a new cache near Ringwood, on the edge of the New Forest called "Moorish" the other day. Ideal - near to home i'll go find it, but when i logged on again to get the details, it was no longer listed - anybody know why?????
  8. We went to the costa del sol earlier this year and managed 3 caches in some truly spectacular locations and there were many more in the region - just didn't get a chance to get to them all.
  9. I know there's been some discussion about logo's and signatures etc but i found this thread in another forum and almost wetmyself laughing when i read the logo on the t-shirt click here if only they were available cheaply in the UK
  10. Well done - how far west does the south east cover? (if that makes sense)
  11. I live on the edge of the new forest about 10 minutes north of Bournemouth - i'd be willing to take over any other caches in the area if no-one else wants them.. Let me know Dan (of FF)
  12. I also have a geocaching contact in the US who i regularly send TB's to and he sends them to me. I'm in the process of pursuading some of my family in New Zealand and Germany to also take up geocaching - once they decide - i'll be open to send TBs around the world.
  13. Has anyone else seen or bought this book? your thoughts.... I bought it a couple of weeks ago and found it a very useful guide for new cachers and it gives loads of ideas for different geocache games etc to play as well as links to some less known geocaching activities (like the degree confluence project!)
  14. Thanx for the advice I have successfully uploaded GPXsonar to my dell and have downloaded a few caches to experiment with. cheers again
  15. Have just got hold of a Dell Axim - and i'd like to use it for "paperless caching". I used to use an old palm with cachemate - is there an alternative to cachemate that can be used with a pocket PC? (as cachemate is only for palms) Cheers
  16. Cheers - i have done as recommended and have deleted all those useless waypoints. Now i can fill the memory with geocaches!!!
  17. I have recently acquired a second hand etrex venture - unfortunately the previous owners waypoints are all still on there and completely irrelevant to what i need it for. i know how to delete individual waypoints - How can i delete all the waypoints at once? cheers
  18. Here are a couple of sites i've used in the past for e-books etc - they may have a link to some software sites that may be suitable. http://www.memoware.com/ http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.ebooks Although you could try www.tucows.com as they have loads of free / shareware for every platform.
  19. I use MM to plot all the caches in my area of East Dorset and Hampshire - i'd be willing to trade - what areas do you cover
  20. I have a caching mate near New York who sends me TB's & Vice versa - if you want it to get to the states i'd be happy to help it on it's way.
  21. i may be being a complete muppet here - but how can you tell it's age from the log number?
