  1. It seems that the lag time to get a response from EarthCache.org has increased. I have not heard a word on my submission from last Friday. It was about 2 days to get a response. Greg
  2. We were just frustrated. I know you guys can understand. We will continue to hunt EarthCaches, but I will have to give placing one some thought. Thanks for all the support.
  3. Well, three tries later and still no approval. Seems kind of a mute point now. We were trying very hard to get our silver pins and as of this moment the deadline has passed. I cannot express how disappointed I am in EarthCaching. We spent hundreds of dollars in gas to get the EarthCaches we needed to get our pin and to make it all the way up to the deadline fighting to get one lousy cache published to get our pin, only to get smacked down. I think this sucks. I am sorry if that offends anyone, but it really hurts that we tried so hard and failed. My 8 year old is devastated by this. He pushed me and pushed me to go find the caches and then to submit the caches so we could get our pins. Oh well. Guess that about sums it up. Not sure we will even try anymore EarthCaches. What is the point now?
  4. I am just wondering, is anyone else having trouble getting an earthcache published since the decision to do away with Bronze and Silver? I have submitted two earthcaches, one for me and one for my son, so that we could get our silver pins. Both were denied with the only explanation being that it was not earth science related. One was an underground spring that had been tapped and brought to the surface so that people could drink from it. The other was a man-made spillway to control flooding at a man-made lake. Both seem to be earth science related to me and there are several similar earthcaches posted. I even took information from those caches to use in the design of my cache pages. Those were published but mine denied. Is it possible that they are declining them so they don't have to give us our silver pins? If that is the case, it sucks!
  5. Thank you! Finally! Someone else sees that I am not a total idiot like the previous posters made me out to be. Day 4 with no reply from my email. Looks like it will not be fixed in time for my trip...if it ever gets fixed. An email from geocaching.com just to say, "We are looking in to it" or at very least "Screw you, we could care less" would be appreciated. For the record, my ticket number is KIN-618570
  6. Day 3 and still no answer. Yes, emailing them did a lot of good!
  7. Since it seems that everyone but me can get this feature to work, can I get someone to send me the PQ for a drive from 29841 to 42240 zip codes that takes the I285 loop North around Atlanta. I want the attributes for 24 hour included, that way I know which ones are available 24 hours and don't waste time on ones that could get me hurt at night. Thanks. Greg
  8. Sent an email to geocaching.com yesterday immediately following my last message here and still no response. I seriously doubt I will renew my premium membership once it expires, simply because the features promised do not work. Greg
  9. Once again, It is not the regular PQ that I am having a problem with. It is the Cache Along A Route PQ. The regular PQ I am able to select the attributes to include or exclude. The Cache Along A Route PQ I am not able to select an attribute to include or exclude. I have used IE8, Chrome 3 and Firefox 3.0.11 on Windows Vista 64. I have Javascript enabled on all three browsers. (It is worth noting that I would not be able to select any attributes on regular PQ's if I did not have javascript enabled.) I did spend 3 hours searching the forum the other day for my specific problem and did not find any resolution. I spent another 2 hours this morning looking and did find that this is a bug that has been ignored since the middle of May. As to it being a weekend, there are several post on this board that state that there is staff manning the webserver and design issues 24/7. Otherwise, I would not be miffed that as a paying customer that I cannot get a feature that I paid for to work properly. It used to work fine. I have used it multiple times before, but now it does not. Thanks for all the replies and I will be contacting the wonderful people at geocaching.com so that they can ignore my email like they have all the others who have complained here about their emails being ignored.
  10. Ok. This is my last try at any help from Geocaching.com. I am going on a trip Friday. I need to narrow down the caches along my route so that I can see which ones I can get and which ones are not obtainable at night. If someone, anyone can let me know anything about this bug in the PQ's, I would be grateful. Greg
  11. Since I don't see a reply to you, I will reply and say that on Google Chrome, IE8 and Firefox I have the exact same problem. I have spent 3 hours searching this forum for an answer to this problem and have found none. Could we get an explanation on what is going on? On the Create a Route PQ, I cannot select any attributes to include or exclude. It seems that the regular PQ's the attributes do work. It is just the Cache along a Route PQ's that do not. Thanks! Crickets chirping! I guess everyone at geocaching.com is asleep?

  13. Anyone? Surely someone has managed to get this to work! I have seen post on this board saying they have. I need a little help. Please??? Greg
  14. It may be useless for me to reply, but I will. The Medion PPC 150 I am using has Microsoft Pocket PC Version 4.20.0 (Build 14053) installed. I have installed Net 2.0 and the Wherigo Player. The player works but the satellite icon stays red. Other software like BeeLineGPS works on this PPC and detects the GPS and works as it is supposed to. I am wondering if there is a way to get the Wherigo player to function as it should? Thanks for all the help. Greg
  15. Has anyone been successful in getting the Wherigo software to recognize the GPS in the Medion PPC 150? I finally got this PPC and now I cannot get the Wherigo software to see the GPS. Other GPS software sees it fine, just not the Wherigo. Thanks. Shreklets
  16. Add me to the list too. It is kind of frustrating, if you ask me!
