  1. I prefer to avoid the chemical repellents (which never seem to work for ticks anyway). But the best thing for REMOVING seed ticks is duct tape. B sure to keep duct tape with you when you're out in the woods (we have it wrapped around one of our waer bottles for easy access), then when you walk through that nest of tiny seed tick, you can quickly and easily get them off (water does't usually wash them off and hands are pretty inadequate for teh job as well) I am going to the Ozarks camping over Labor Day Weekend, I expect a fair amount of ticks as well as loud human pests!
  2. So I can at least make the caches, call them Hadnmade Cache I or II or whatever the number as their title on the geocaching.com search engine, and suggest in the description that people leave handmade items/supplies? Then just leave it up to the finders if they want to follow the suggestion or not?
  3. So I want to start a series of caches I want to call "Handmade Caches", with the only trade items allowed being handmade items or supplies which could be used to make handmade things (such as beads, crayons, fabric scraps, etc). I have no idea if this is okay to do, or if it would go against some caching policy? I have ethical and environmental issues with plastic toys and trinkets, and would love to see more exciting, interesting trade items. I also am a strong supporter of art and all things handmade and would LOVE to see this sort of thing in caches. Can I begin this special type of cache as it's own cache categroy (just like multi-caches, Earthcaches, and puzzle caches are different from traditionals)?
