  1. I have a PN-60 and cannot load caches. Do I need software and if so, where do I get it? thanks using a MAC
  2. As a premium member, you can download multiple gpx files with a pocket query. You can then load them into a program such as GSAK for downloading to your device. Hope I have answered your question to your satisfaction. willy
  3. Just had 18 new caches in my area and not a one of them will load using the Delorme Plugin. Acts the same as described in the previous posts. Had three other new ones, the load fine. Going to be a handload to do these I guess. willy
  4. Hi On the left side of the Geomate.jr is a flap. Lift this flap up from the bottom and you'll find a connection port. In about two weeks or so we will be releasing an Update Kit (http://www.mygeomate.com/update_kit) that comes with a cable that you will be able to plug into the Geomate.jr and your computer. This Update Kit is your key to unlimited updates for your Geomate.jr - including all traditional, non-premium caches for the US and any other country! Cheers Warren When I can locate the update kit, I will buy the device. Just cant locate a source. Checked with Cache Advance and she was to get back to me, waiting for an answer. Tried to tweet dm geomate and cant, because geomate is not following me. willy
  5. Let me provide a general update for Boost. Some time ago Nextel (the network Boost runs on) discovered a HUGE issue with a certificate expiring. This certificate invalidate all location aware applications and the ability to even download apps on the phone. I personally am on the phone with the content publishers working towards getting the applications re-signed and back on the deck. Carrier time can be so incredibly long and frustrating. Once we can get resolution, I will personally post the details here. Larry (Trimble Outdoors) I have Geocache Navigator on my boost phone, setting up one of my sons' boost phone. Loaded Trimble Outdoors because GN still does not seem to be offered by boost. T.O. seems to be an application with multi outdoor functions. Prop will not renew it at the end of the month. Does not function even close to G.N. Now with T.O. offered by boost, does this mean G.N. will be offered again? While T.O is a decent application, it just does not replace the G.N. thanks

  8. The HTC Touch is a Windows Mobile device. At this time we do not have plans to support this device. Larry I don't understand the answer. My reference was to a boost phone.
  9. I have GN on my Boost phone currently, my son has a boost phone and wants to add it to his. There is no longer a link to download it. Any ideas?
  10. I see where you are coming form. Please let me modify that to read: either state or national historic sites. thanks
  11. Under [Places > Historic Places] I would like to see a subcategory called general historic places. This would allow one to mark museums, hist sites, hist buildings, etc. When one would travel they could then have the coords to these places. One could also choose the ones in proximity to where they are.
  12. I have for sale a Magellan Blazer 12. Not the latest technology, but one of my sons found his first 50 caches with it before he bought a new device. Seems to work well in covered areas. The down side to the device is it only comes out to two decimal places rather than three on the coords . But like I say, he found his first 50 caches with it. This would be a great starter or for someone on a limited budget. I am asking $25.00 plus $5.00 shipping and $1.30 insurance. Total $31.30. email to: michmagoo-geo@yahoo.com willy
  13. My son has done 59 caches with a Blazer 12 and only 2 digits. Only twice did he have a problem, but still found the caches. Now he has a Garmin 72 and I believe he did just as well with the Blazer 12.
  14. But are the poles in the same place they were when the data sheet shows the description from the pole? In my area if they change one pole, it is usually in the same hole. But due to the changing ownership and buildings being built, I have seen the upgrading of the whole line, be moved many feet from the original. Willy
  15. Yes I have checked for the pin. What is so peculiar is that this one and the other that I have found seem to be just about on target for where the benchmark should be.
  16. In my search for OKO122, could not find the mark but found something else. Please look at the pics I have posted and possibly someone could tell me what it is. Found similar on another which I will get a pic of and post. thanks, willy
  17. The pictures are taken looking down. What appears to be sky is light reflecting from the stream below.
  18. You surely must me talking about me. Been there, done that, and not even a tshirt to show for it.
  19. Any idea where these were taken at? Willy
  20. Have the pics upload. OKO120 I am hoping this is it as the other two adjacent to it have had the crossing lights removed. This may be the only one left in this area. Willy
  21. I have a pic of what I think is the remaining portion of the cross. Have to figure out how to get the pic on here.
  22. This has been very informative for me. I can understand using the crayon and it being a temp mark, but in the description it states that it should holdup. Have to assume then that someone later chiseled a mark in the abutment. Hopefully this week, I should be able to get back out and see if I can locate it. thanks
