  1. Great looking coin, Pepper! We'd love to trade an orange pepper like the one that's shown and will send you an email. Balla & Silly
  2. Still no sign of our coin...we are starting to get a bit nervous now... Hold your heads up Balla & Silly remember it's the holiday season and the busiest time of the year for the postal service, your coin will show! You know those folks won't let ya down. Thank you, Pepper, you are right. We just got a mail of the skeleton crew that our coin returned because of an insufficient address. We don't know why but we are very happy that it didn't get lost! So it will be on its way again shortly and if we are lucky we might still get it before Christmas or at least between Christmas and New Year which would still be fine because it's my birthday on december 30. Greetings, Balla & Silly
  3. Glückwunsch! We are still waiting for our #11... Still no sign of our coin...we are starting to get a bit nervous now...
  4. We still haven't got our 2 coins. When were the international shippings sent out?
  5. Glückwunsch! We are still waiting for our #11...
  6. Yes, that might be a reason for the $1 difference. I'm still surprised that this coin gets sold so slow. Then again - it might be a signal and a good sign for keeping the prizes at a lower level in future...?
  7. 23 coins left. Just one question: why are they $9 on ebay and $8 on the shop side? Did I miss anything? (Wish I could have ordered there... )
  8. Just ordered two with additional $6 for shipping to Germany. (If I wouldn't have checked this forum I wouldn't have known the international shipping fee, maybe there should have been an information on ebay?) Well, that's $24 for two coins now. Pretty expensive but I'm looking forward to a San Diego coin for quite a while now. Think I have to tighten my purse until after the holidays as well now...
  9. I didn't follow the whole discussion but I would like to say something about virtual logging of coins or TBs as well. Some virtual TBs are just fun. As long as they are an exception I look at them as a funny variation of real TBs and that's it. But I wouldn't miss them if they shouldn't be allowed anymore. With the virtual logging of coins it seems a bit different to me. Of course the virtual logging is for the icons. We live in Germany and the only coin beside a "normal" US geocoin that we found in a cache was a Canadian coin which wasn't trackable on gc.com, a German Geocoin and a moun10bike coin about two years ago. For that one we drove hundreds of miles and walked about 5 miles around a lake until we found it at 8 a.m. in a cache (got up at 4 to be sure nobody would be there before us). Great hunt. We took it to Berlin and released it in a very special and difficult cache that we created. But that was it. Never saw another rare geocoin again. Then these beautiful coins with very attractive icons caught our attention. But none of them ever seemed to find its way into a German cache. We watched for a while and then we saw others logging virtually and we thought: ah well, if that's a common practice with very special coins we might do that as well. It will at least give us the beautiful icon if we have no chance to get hold of that coin. Then we also started to buy coins to let others log some of our coins in return. It was fun and we didn't think any further about this. Meanwhile we've had an Ohio geocoin in our hands and took it to the next cache. And we enjoyed it much more than a virtual log. In fact we are starting to get fed up with virtual logs and sometimes we wish we wouldn't have started doing it. Then again - it's just a game and everyone should have fun. If people enjoy logging virtual coins, so what? We probably stop it now and just log coins that we've actually had in our hands. At least there are a lot of coins in Germany now. And if we can't find any in caches we'll have to find the owners... (just kidding) And as some people might have noticed: yess, we've become addicts as well...
  10. Three trades are already made, thanks a lot! I took these States off the list. If someone still has a spare Colorado, Michigan or Ohio to trade (or purchase) we would be pleased about a mail. And yes, I just read the thread about the San Diego coins. We thought they would be out officially and not just for locals. Still - we don't like to buy or sell coins at Ebay (unless it is a Dutch auction ). So if anybody wants to trade a San Diego, please contact us, beside the listed coins we still have several coins coming in. Cheers, Balla & Silly
  11. We would still like to have the following State coins with their own icons: Colorado Michigan New Jersey Ohio Pennsylvania Tennessee plus San Diego For purchase or for trade! We have the following coins to offer for a trade: KS Wader Kansas Seven Summit Mount Everest Seven Summit Mount McKinley 2005 Maryland Iowa Compass Rose New Mexico Anybody interested? Looking forward to your mail, Balla & Silly
  12. Hi, I just wanted to order two of these coins (+ another one) but when it came to payment I got a warning of my computer that the page wouldn't be safe and my dates would be visible for everyone in the internet. And indeed - no lock at the bottom of my browser. So I stopped my order. Are you going to fix that, so it will be safe? Thanks, Balla & Silly
  13. Just paypaled for two as well, thank you!
  14. Meanwhile our first order was cancelled and we got the money back. We feel much better now, thanks! Which means for everybody on the waitlist: 2 more gold are available again...
  15. If you won't get a coin from someone in the States we will give you one of ours. We ordered one each and wanted to keep both but on the other side we enjoyed your game that much and you put such a lot of effort in it that we won't like to see you getting none of these coins at all. Cheers, Balla & Silly
  16. We have been busy and nearly missed this great coin - but we got in for one of each...yippeeeah! Great looking coins! Can't wait to see them in real...
  17. I agree with you when it comes to international shipping fees that are far too high. I stepped back two days ago from ordering 2 personal coins with a shipping fee of $10 because I felt ripped off. Comment of the seller: no problem, they are already sold again to people on the wait list. Ah well... But in case of the lighthouse coins we didn't have the same experience than you. We could order 2 gold and 3 bronze in one order with one additional shipping fee of $4. So that was a very fair deal. Maybe you will get the overpaid fees refunded? I would ask the seller (who has a great sense of humour by the way) before complaining because I think it wasn't meant like $4 for each coin. Maybe there was just a mistake with ebay. Greetings to the UK, Heidi
  18. Arrrgh...I blame our sleepy eyes as well. It's 2 in the morning over here and we're back to bed. Next time we'll know and won't panic as much...hopefully?
  19. OK, got ya. We'll get that sorted out. Ok here is what my stuff says: Paypal shows me at 2 golds My Ebay section shows two golds The auction shows me at 1 gold I am the cacher that ended up with 4 golds on my paypall, i am hopeful you can get everything straightened out, just 2 gold and two bronze please. Thanks, We have two orders by mistake as well. The first one was for 2 gold and when we couldn't find the bronze version we paid. But while we paid the bronze version showed up, so we added 3 of them to our basket and paid for all 5 coins. What we were afraid of happened: the two golden coins before were totally paid as well and we couldn't cancel it anymore. We are very sorry for that (not used at all to ebay auctions) and have written an email immediately. We would be very happy with the second order (2 gold and 3 bronze) and would still like to cancel the first order (2 gold), please. We apologize for the irritation, Balla & Silly
  20. Sorry, but I think this is a very terrible comment about this special coin. I just read the whole story behind it, the cache description and the log entries. It made me cry because I lost my sister at the age of 25 in a car accident as well and all the memories came up. Any support is of great help and if the auction of this geocoin will give the kids a little extra it's the best thing I've seen that a geocoin could do since I'm interested in these coins. And you worry about any stupid counts of coins...
  21. Looks very nice, I hope we can keep our eyes open... One question: With only 400 coins getting minted we are surprised that they will have their own icon. Did Groundspeak lower the amount of coins you have to produce before you can purchase your own icon (thought it would be 1.000+ coins)? Hey, that would mean a lot of new icons in the near future! Cheers, Heidi
  22. We just received the silver one on saturday, great coin! Taking photos under the desk light made it look more gold than silver, so you might get an idea about a golden coin here. Personally we would like to have a gold coin as well but we don't think that blue eyes might look as good with a green dragon than red eyes. We love these red eyes because they really seem to have some dragon fire in them. So with a golden coin we could imagine a dark blue or black dragon with red eyes in the same design would look great. But we would love any other combination as well. Balla & Silly
