Thank you Lisa, I am sorry for being so persistent, but I really want this. What day do you expect to have them in? I am already on the mailing/waiting list.
-
> Cache Advance will have these back in stock in a few weeks! We are just waiting for them to arrive! I had thought they weren't being produced any longer, and that there wouldn't be any more. Maybe I'm wrong.

Just as long as somebody can do it, that's fine. thanks

Is it possible to Un-activate a coin?

GPS Central, in Canada, wants $40 to ship to the United States, above the cost of the coin, and of course I can not pay that. Anyone know anyone else?

I'm trying to find one or two event coins from the recent Going Ape Mega Event in Washington, the day after the recent block party. There weren't nearly enough coins made, and so most people that attended and wanted a coin were pretty disappointed, myself included. I learned that there were only 29 available that weren't already reserved. So if anyone has one, I'd be willing to pay a little more for one... I really learned the hard way on this one.

What is Benchmap? I assume it's an app to map benchmarks, what platform is it?
-
I did a reply, I don't know why it didn't show up. Well, it was just two that I saw a picture of somewhere, they were NGS, not USGS. I tried by designation, but it didn't find anything. One was a gravity mark, one was a regular mark. I don't know the state they were.from.

That page says they are out of stock. I tried that GPS Central site, but their website is broken, but I finally got it to work right in Internet Explorer only, then they wanted $40 for shipping, and I think not, so I'm trying to call them. They're not in my time zone, so it's difficult to find time to do it. I ordered 2 from that site in Europe, but somebody there emailed me and said they only have 1 left, so now I still need 1. (it hasn't arrived yet anyhow)

Is there a way to search by what is stamped on a mark?
-
I got told in a PM to try: http://www.geocoinshop.eu/Geocoins-Groundspeak/GeoTriad-Geocoin-Two-Tone::1209.html I replied with "I was hoping to avoid ordering them all the way from Europe (since I'm in California) but I guess I'll have to. Thanks" and was replied with: "I have ordered product from this vendor many times, they are very reliable and shipping takes about 10 days" So, I'll be ordering those very soon.

I found it here; https://www.cache-ad...eoTriad_Geocoin It said "Notify when back in stock" meaning they don't have any either.

After having just completed the triad last week, I am trying to get a couple of those old Triad coins, the ones that are triangle shaped and a hole in the middle. I can't seem to find any, though I found some about a month ago, but I can't remember where. Anyone know of anything? thanks

Maybe post a list of them with prices or a picture?

Oregon 6xx Geocaching dashboard Question
dukeofurl01 replied to Mineral2's topic in GPS technology and devices
In the other thread where I was asking questions about the 64s and the 600, my last post was about the fellow cacher who met up with me this weekend to let me check both the 650 and the 64st out. On his 650, he trimmed and sanded down the bottom of the clip to allow access to the USB port without removing it from the unit. Couldnt really even tell that he had done it until he showed me. Maybe an option? I can also plug in if I use an L-shapped connector like the ones that come with Nuvis. That's an awesome idea! I tried it just now with my Nuvi plug, and with some effort, got it to work. I see some cord possibilities online. Then there's this adapter. If I could keep it plugged in, it could be faster and easier than removing the clip. It's a good thing I didn't trim the clip on my clamshell case. On the new case, the clip broke (which I've since somewhat patched up), so I traded it with my 550's case (same kind of cloth case). It would be bad to now have less leverage on the 550 unnecessarily. I use this one here and it works perfectly, but I also like that one, where do you get it? -
I assumed that the shortcut to stop navigation was just a pointer to another function, but it's not, I never imagined that it had it's own set of settings. Well I guess live and learn.

FYI: REI sale - Garmin Oregon 600
dukeofurl01 replied to Mineral2's topic in GPS technology and devices
Odd, my Oregon 600 doesn't freeze up much, but it has a couple times, and even that kinda sucks. My old 60 CSx never froze. My Oregon 450 never froze... -
After 45 minutes with Garmin TS, he figured it out to be the settings for the shortcut to Stop Navigation that I was using in the experiments, that I had placed on the main screen. It was set to direct. I don't know how I missed that. I guess I didn't know that the shortcuts had settings also. But it's fixed now! Boy that one was buried!

So, on further investigation, and trial and error, this software bug, and it is a software bug, where it forgets what routing setting to use, 1) happens on any map that is active, I have a few different ones, but I only keep one active at a time to reduce startup time. 2) only happens under external power, and does not happen under battery power. 3) Is fully reproducible, I have done this over and over again, and the same thing happens. Sometimes, I change one little setting, but it still happens. I am using the latest version of the software for this device, I have made sure of that.
-
But I'm most concerned about it forgetting auto routing every time. It's still selected in Setup>Routing>Automobile and it's still direct routing every time, until I go back into Setup>Routing and re-select Automobile, then it behaves correctly.

>Depending on your phone, you might be able to use an 0TG cable to connect the phone and GPS. And download GPX files from the phone to the Garmin. I do this with a Samsung Galaxy and Garmin 64s. It's an iPhone. I don't think they speak ANT+, and the Oregon only speaks that. But I hadn't thought of that until you mentioned it. Unfortunately, what I want is not in track manager. Guess I'll have to call Garmin Support on Monday. 5. Yes, it is turned on, and everything else off.
-
So, in the track manager, there is only Current track, which leads to some kind of graph, and then Archived Tracks, and it says No tracks have been archived. Then there's the thing in the lower right with 3 horizontal lines, and it has Spell Search, and Sort. But there's just no on/off
-
2) Well, years ago on my 60 CSx, tracks were either on or off, they always showed on the map. On my Oregon 450, you could set it to not record track, record them without showing on the map, or record with showing them on the map. I think I want to turn them off completely, but then sometimes I will want to turn them on and show on the map. So I will need to be able to turn them on in a hurry. 3) That sucks that that is the only option. I hope Garmin is listening. (but I kinda doubt it) 6) I'll try it.
-
4) Darn. I used to do that all the time when I used a 60 CSx, back when geocaches were just waypoints, I could just change the icon to the closed treasure chest, and it would go to it, but it didn't have paperless or anything. 5) Garmin's City Navigator North America. It should be in there. Do I have to turn it on?
