  1. I am trying to remove myself from the watch list of the caches I've planted. But when I go to the Watch List page, all I get is the following: "When you watch something, you receive an e-mail whenever that geocache or trackable item is logged. You can add items to your watchlist by visiting a geocache or trackable item listing and clicking on the "watch this" link. You can remove items from your watchlist at any time by visiting this page." And then there is nothing else listed. Any way of going about it so I don't receive a lot of watch list emails? They are starting to clutter my inbox.
  2. I am looking at spicing up a bunch of multi-puzzle geocaches this year and was hoping to find some new ideas in the forums. I couldn't pull up any forum results so thought I would post here. I accidently posted this in organized geocaching thread, but wanted to originally post here for thoughts and opinions. Currently, some of the ideas used include image puzzles, code breaking, key/combo and lock, hints to hidden/camoflauged caches, etc. I enjoy hosting group events, so I am always looking for competitive geocache challenges/puzzles as well. I am interested in hearing new ideas, suggestions, links, books and resources in regards to creating new challenges/puzzle ideas. I also enjoy including team building/leadership elements into the challenges which seem to enhance the geocache experience. I would love to hear from you, and thanks in advance for any productive and positive feedback/criticism. I will also keep this post up to date with any great links/ideas submitted in hopes of making a permanent thread for this topic. If this topic has been discussed or posted elsewhere, please point me in the right direction.

  4. I've posted a few BC Parks GeoRush 2008 caches 2 days ago and it still says it's awaiting review. How many days is the turnaround time before hidden caches are accepted?
  5. Ya, that's a real shame! :/ There are a couple planted in my area, but I just leave them in the cache since I've already logged the location. It is definitely a popular georeward, i wish they could keep them all in circulation. Maybe it's time for the Jeep geocoin? (or has it been done already?)
  6. I deal with corporate and group clients as well. Other than setting up a private geocache hunt, there are many games available as well. There were a couple ideas found here. I am sure an indepth search of the forums may strike up some more results. I also use the Garmin Rino 520/530HCx which come with built in games great for groups using the GPS locater and 2 way radio. I found these to be helpful when looking to do something a little different. Hope this helps a little.
  7. As most people have replied, I look until I am tired/bored of looking for it. Then I go a couple more times. If I still haven't found it yet, I will check the Cache Logs to see when it was discovered last. If it has been a long time ago, then I think it is fair to message the owner for another 'hint'. This helps both the owner and the geocacher. The owner can help in realizing if the cache is still there or not and the geocacher can finally find the cache (if it is still there). Otherwise, it can be a waste of time if your looking for something that is not there. Obviously, if there are recent 'Found it!' logs, then it is safe to assume that the cache is still there and you should just keep looking. My two cents..
  8. As an owner and fan of two Jeeps I was thrilled when I saw images of the Jeep TB. My question is... Will there ever be another Jeep 4x4 Geocaching Challenge?
  9. I just received an order of 5x 520HCx's and 1x 530HCx and have basically retired my Magellan eXplorist 500. These Garmin units are great! I was really debating on whether or not the 110-130 were worth the purchase (the cost was cheap), but after using the 520/520HCx series, I can see that they are on two separate playing fields now.
  10. Just received the 2006 BC geocoin in the mail and just saw the 2008 BC geocoin posted at landsharkz! Can't wait to order it on my next purchase. Thanks for the prompt shipment Helen.
  11. Has anyone here used the Garmin Rino 110 and 120 for Geocaching? The 530HCx model has a geocaching mode and plenty of other handy features but I would love to hear your Rino 110 and 120 thoughts and stories.
