  1. In california, TMA-1 is from what I understand really good I hope to hit it next month with acouple of people. Or if you pass near marin you could stop in on Huff'in and Puff'in by Forman. It really confused me the first try. Thought i would try and help!, Ficky

  3. I am sorry for your loss. i know that when my dog cinnamon dies i will have a hard time getting over it. I had two of my friends dogs die inthe the last month so in honor of yellow dog when i am in colorado sometime I will hunt for your caches. I'm so sorry! Ficky
  4. you'll get used to it it took me a couple of days, but I can now whizz around with that thing and get to almost anywhere. Yeah it gets touchy around trees sometimes but not always. I get the best reception on hills or valleys for some reason. Dan
  5. I've had both of my caches go missing. I don't have time to check on it constantly since I am in High school. So I have to wait like weeks before I can rehide a cache. So Thats my two cents worth Ficky
  6. Yeah the price around San Francisco is about $2.15 and I have to rely on other people to get me to the caches because I don't have a liscence. So Yeah Prices are affecting me as well as the added pressure from teachers, So the California School state standard will be better than it was last year. Ficky

  8. my etrex likes to be held at about a 45 degree angle it lets the antenna be pointed to the sky yet still be readable. At least for this Teenager, it all dpends on the model. Dan
  9. I have a etrexand use easygps for the software. No u cant load maps onto the etrex i have tried. keep up the good work Dan

  12. Does anyone know of a good kit that turns a laptop into a gps? I was going to use it to get to the general area of a cache and then use the garmin etrex. Prefeirably one that can coexist with thee etrex.
  13. doesnt that waste the battery though on the gps. Is there a way to do it without a gps reciver but just an antenna?
  14. it'll be so i dont have to have my gps on and kill the batteries. So I can track my location and get close to a cache and then use my gps.
