  1. Problem of the map "View Larger Map" from cache page is still resulting for my home coordinates, not the cache map originally opened. Today is Monday 8/16/21.
  2. I am having the same map issues this after noon (Monday 8/16). When I click on the "View Larger Map" I get a map of my home location.
  3. Thank you balu2003, I hadn't thought to search my finds with the specific D/T rating. I wonder what happens if a challenge checker will recognize the current GC caches.
  4. We are working on filling our D/T grid for the 5th time. Looked in Geocaching and it shows we have completed 5 times. However Project-GC has different totals, some higher, some lower and only shows 4 times. Why is there a difference. Looking at Lab and Locationless caches doesn't seem to solve the differences. The differences are throughout the grid.
  5. It would be nice to know if GC is working on the issue with messages and no scroll bar for older ones.
  6. Seems to be working this morning. Thank you.
  7. I just tried to add a cache to an existing list by opening the list, entering the GC Code and click Add (see image below) and still nothing happens. The Add to List or Submit button don't seem to be active. Normally you should get your mouse to turn to a hand, but it only stays as an arrow. Please fix this issue as a lot of us use Bookmarks.
  8. I want to add a cache to a particular list, but add a comment while accomplishing that action. Otherwise I have to add to list and then reenter the Bookmark edit the cache listing to add a comment In the past, GC said we could do this by Right Clicking on the Add to List on cache page. It brings up the image below and in the past we chose which list and added comments, clicked Create Bookmark and got a confirmation screen that it had occurred. Today I get nothing and it doesn't add it to the bookmark either. Please fix this issue. It is difficult when you have multiple bookmarks it doesn't display the entire bookmark name in the list view from the cache page and they are not in alphabetical order to be able to find the correct list easily. Doing the right click took care of that problem from the start. We have tried, Chrome and both IE programs. Using Windows 10 machines.
  9. When we create a log (on computer) and do any kind of trackable drop or visit and submit the log - nothing appears to happen. We don't receive the normal confirmation screen that shows the log as being completed. We are using Chrome, IE 11 and IE Express, they all have the same issue. After waiting a minute, we then click the submit button again. We then get a message "Your log could not be submitted. Please refresh the page and try again." If we refresh we have to retype and reod the trackable requests. We decided to go to the cache page and check and the log has gone through - reason we couldn't log it again. The trackables have been dropped or visited as requested with the first log submission. Please fix this issue. It has been going on for several days. Thank you.
  10. I was a beta tester for the new maps and I told HQ that there were major issues with the search criteria - particularly events. I realize that I use my computer for planning my geocaching and not any phone app. In the old criteria after you got your list, you could sort events by date. That way you could plan for a future date or even find out what was available today and how far away. This method doesn't allow you to do that, you have to open each event to determine the date - and show past event dates that haven't been archived. And they aren't even listed by closest to home. You could also sort the list by favorite points, etc. Today when I have trie to use the map, it doesn't even give the normal geocaching map with streets, I have to go in and change to Google maps to even see names of cities or places. This may be nice for phone apps, but it is very inconvenient for those of us who use our computers to plan our geocaching activities. I will opt out, but will be very irrigated if I have to do this on a regular basis , like is the case when logging a cache.

  12. As described above, the new "Add to list" function is frustrating when you wish to add description to the bookmark page. I have found the procedure of opening in a new tab, however when you are don't normally use the right click to open in new tabs, older cacher, it can be frustrating. Can the old Bookmark link be added below the Add to List link? This would be much more user friendly for less computer savvy cachers. I found the same issue when trying to bookmark from the map. We use the bookmark feature to determine our travel routes - but edit with description information, which we do frequently. Having the Add to List feature only is frustrating, even though right clicking and choosing a new tab functions okay. Thank you for your understanding.
  13. Must be Comcast throttling emails, they are starting to come through very slowly.
  14. Just checked online for email account. No messages are in either the inbox or spam folders.
  15. I archived 6 caches this morning and submitted 8 caches for approval, I have not received any email notifications at all. This includes items on our watchlist and owned caches. I know the cache submission went through as they are listed as such on my profile page. Wondering when the server will be up and running again. Thank you. Maxine Brown
  16. Didn't see your post, back to working earlier this afternoon.
  17. Trying to log a cache, after submitting get a 404 error message. Tried on 2 different computers and different caches. 404 - File Not Found We're sorry, the page you are looking for could not be found. The page may no longer exist or have moved to a new location. 18. Haven't received any email notifications since 2:00 am EST. We are used to getting at least 50 or more as we watch Trackables we have moved. We have even written emails to cachers and haven't seen them come through. Thanks for checking.
  19. Thanks St. Matthew for the suggestions. I have been viewing the Dublin hop on hop off bus and surrounding caches. We decided on Ring of Kerry based on recommendations of travel organizer, since most of us had never been there to visit. We do have on our itinerary to do Europe's First cache on the cliff walk from Bray to Greystone Cliff, then visit Hook Head Lighthouse, Cobb, Cork, Blarney Stone, Killarney, and Cliffs of Moher.
  20. I am putting together a group of cachers to tour around Ireland in March 2014. If anyone is interested in joining we still have room for 8 more. We will be gone for 8 days and start in Dublin over St. Patrick's Day. I'd like to create a couple of events in Dublin and Kilarney while there. Does anyone have any suggestions of locations? Email me or visit me on facebook Maxine Brown MaxB on the River.
  21. I sure was hoping that things would be back to normal after my last post at 1:23pm. Received 68 between 12:15 and 1:15, this is below number of emails for us in that time frame. However, haven't received any notices of any kind since that time. It is now 8:20 pm EDT. Wanted to keep you in the loop.
  22. I got the same message of all IP are not being blocked. It has gotten better, but still seems to be throttled. I'll get a message dump about every 2 hours and not all of the items. I'm still getting notifications off my watchlist and messages sent to other cachers through GC, up to 24 hours after I had sent or posted. The same goes for new cache publishes. Is Groundspeak still working with Comcast on the problem? No newsletter as of yet.
  23. Just got my first newsletter since July 23. (I have Comcast.) Thanks for fixing this. Is there any way I can get the "back issues"? Unfortunately, we have no means of delivering older versions of the newsletter. Who cares about back issues.... Just get the situation fixed. I've got Comcast and STILL DO NOT GET NEWSLETTERS! Do not think you have the problem solved when you don't. Hi ngrrfan, Our IT Department is working with Comcast on our end and has let us know that it would help things along for Comcast to be hearing from their upset, paying customers...feel free to contact them and let them know that you want these IP addresses to be whitelisted, as soon as possible: 66.150.167.157, 66.150.167.158, 66.150.167.160, and 66.150.167.161 This will help expedite the process for you and the rest of the geocaching community who use Comcast. Thanks for the explaination. Here is the link to request Comcast whitelist the IP addresses: http://postmaster.comcast.net/block-removal-request.html
  24. Groundspeak has been attempting to deal with the Comcast issue for the past several days. See this post for a recent Groundspeak statement on the subject, and read the entire thread for more information. --Larry Thanks Larry for your post. I have read the thread and submitted by request for whitelisting geocaching.com. Here is the Comcast link to request unblocking the IP addresses: http://postmaster.comcast.net/block-removal-request.html
