  1. So, 9 months today!!! WOO HOO!!! Whatca got planned on or around the 24th MONTHaversary??? MoHo the Ape has been fitted for his MONKEY SUIT!
  2. Congrats to Lil Otter on a grand Milestone. 3000 and counting...
  3. Right now my closest cache is 46.2 miles away. Last week I traveled 775 miles to get one! Only 123 within 100 miles! (quite a fefw of those are not active)
  4. Not sure about how to comment on "which is which"??? But the Travel Bug that Mopar is holding HAS GROWN!
  5. From the Court TV website:The Chase Two amateur "fugitives" vs. a team of professional trackers. Can the pair find a hidden $20,000 stash before being hunted down? It won't be easy. They’re pursued by the best in the business, professional tracker Tom Brown Jr. and his elite team. Brown uses high-tech gadgetry and a wealth of experience to read every move, footprint, hiding place and tiny clue — any of which could foil the fugitives' run for the money. Besides evading the Tracking Team, the fugitives have to find food, water, clothes and shelter along the way for up to 24 hours. Impossible to win? Just watch Read high-tech gadgetry = GPSr, night vision, ATV's, SUV's, etc... IT was a fun show to watch but I see no listing for future shows. The site says last Saturday night's airing was the Pilot. Hoping to be able to watch the 2nd show tonight, I was disappointed to see nothing scheduled. $20K geocache, that a FTF prize for sure!
  6. Yo Rebel, Are you thinking about one of these I did my round of cache maintenance on my hides Wednesday and yesterday. (Prompted by a DNF). and wrote a note on the one that stumped a searcher. I think a crescent wrench would make a good icon...Now, is that a standard or metric crescent wrench?
  7. I have a mirco hidden in a teeny patch of City Park owned land. The micro costed me $25 to build. It is a film canister, and it is inside a small log (limb from a Cherry tree). I used a 1 5/8" forstner bit (hence the 25 bucks) to drill out the space for the film canister. Phone calls and purple frownies from seachers - I rated the cache 4 1/2.
  8. I'll fourth that (or is that a fifth) If it is a fifth Jack Daniels, please! And while we are at it...Take away all the links to MapQuest, TopoZone, MapZone... Or go to the website of the webcam, there is the address. I hope to log the cache! With a business trip to NYC planned for next month, and this cache on my Watch List, I saw your note about deleting the pics... Webcam caches are about the photos. Please reconsider??
  9. I have tons of pens that I have picked up at motels, gas stations, doctor's offices... My policy: If it has advertising of the establishment on the pen and I use it - it is MINE. I even have a cache that is a pen exchange (CGHV8E). No problems with extreme cold/pen failures in South Georgia - only had temperature in the teens 6 or 7 time all winter.
  10. I first read this thread on Sunday afternoon. But I waited till I was at work on Monday to answer so I could say: YES!!!
  11. WOW! Mo and Ho are FAMOUS! But WE knew that already!!! Great looking Article! Congrats on the 1/2 year Anniversary!
  12. Criminal, Just read the entire 1st issue of the e-zine The Signal/Hiring of Hydee had me ROTFLMAO. Great article!
  13. iBrew, so sorry to hear about your lost. The story of the Rainbow Bridge... Tissues READY everyone!!! Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author Unknown Condolences from Team Rainbow and our Yorkie - "Metro"
  14. Then trying HIDING a cache using map and compass - and posting it to GC.com... Finders will be adding "corrected" coordinates to their logs! I too started with paper and compass in finding my way around the outdoors and still use them. But a GPSr just adds to the fun and I do not move more than 500 feet from my doorstep without it!!!
  15. When Geo Ho made that statement, I knew I had to use the "copy" tag to my MIA/AWOL PT CRUISER TB (Mopar Brand) for MoHo the Ape Valentine Bug....I foward HIM up to be a part of Mopar's Birthday "Event". When Geo Ho and Mopar meet on the Forums, who would have known the ELEMENTs that would go into their relationship. The PRELUDE was the Geo Ho's PASSPORT to the Selden Neck Event Cache in Mopar's canoe. Mopar would RAM pass the other online hopefuls and join the CARAVAN of paddlers that fall weekend. We should not take the LIBERTY of getting into their personal matters. While we have no INSIGHT as to their daily ODYSSEY, we could read the logs as they CONQUEST caches together in both TOWN & COUNTRY (if Mopar ever gets up to date)… CRUISERs on the Geocaching Highway of life, they are in one ACCORD. VOYAGERs together - they PILOT each other in the quest of Happy caching and stuff! edit:speeling!
  16. Snoogans found Rocky the Rebel Racoon Travel Bug on 1/10/04 Rocky the Rebel TB is owned by CAVERAT I found CONFEDERATE ROCK by CAVERAT on 12/14/03. After 4 minutes of tracking my Snoogan NUMBER = 2
  17. That is Awesome...Someone should Dedicate a Travel Bug to you two. LIKE THIS: MoHo the Valentine Bug
  18. GCXXXVIII Super Duper Event Cache by VIACOMMON Coordinates led to an Event Cache in middle of a large arena in Houston, Texas. Was team caching with MsJacksonIfYaNasty. Took Wardrobe Malfunction Travel Bug, Left the Whole Country in Shock! OuttaSync Justin
  19. GCLOTR3 Ring in Hand Cache ~ Stage Three of Multi Cache by J.R.R.T. Finally made it to the last stage of the Multi. Left the Precious Travel Bug. Thinning and Balding wasn't very happy. Horse Rider should be crowned as King of All Cachers. Was so happy that this was the end of the Multi Cache. We were tired and hungry (as always). RETURNing to the Shire. Frodo of Team Shire The cache site is a wreck! This cache should be archived, but remain available for viewing for archival purposes. I think everyone would enjoy reading the logs.
  20. GCLOTR2 Ring in Hand Cache ~ Stage Two of Multi Cache by J.R.R.T. SamWise and I set off on the second stage. Pip and Merry are somewhere playing in the woods. Horse Rider, The Archer and Short 'n Red are still battling muggles. Joined up with Thinning and Balding. I think he want to take the Gold Ring (Precious) Travel Bug for himself. He had logged in another of JRRT caches once long ago and lost it. TNLN…pressing on the last stage of the cache. Frodo of Team Shire
  21. GCLOTR --- Ring in Hand Cache (Middle Earth) ~ Stage one of Multi Cache by J.R.R.T. Gray Wiz handed off the Gold Ring Travel Bug for me to place in the final Stage of this fantastically hard multi cache. Started the day with SamWise, Pip and Merry. Later joined up with Horse Rider, The Archer, Prince Boy and Short 'n Red. Muggles all over the place, making the hike very difficult. Battled many Noseeums, not enough DEET in the world to shield against them. Gray Wiz hooked up with us later at the Elf Land Event Cache, sure did enjoy his Fellowship. Gray Wiz decided to take the lower trail at the Cave Caching portion. Prince Boy continued the journey as a Hydrocache. We will split into 3 teams for the next stage. TNLN, this cache is sure deserving of it 5/5 rating. Thanks JRRT for laying out the cache. Frodo of Team Shire
  22. GCOOZZ Emerald City Cache by Ozzy Wiz At the starting coordinates there were many little muggles, but they helpful and they were able to show the right road to follow. Along the way met fellow catchers: Crow Kid, Tin Dude and Scary Cat. We think that the overall difficulty should be updated to at least a 4 star rating due to the tree cover in the Apple Orchard and the present of dangerous winged primates. The path to the cache was well established except at the flowerbed. At the cache site we found a Multi-color Horse TB…CO ADMIN would have been proud. Crow Kid took the Geo Diploma, Tin Dude took Broken Heart McToy; Scary Cat took the Old War Medal. Toto the Geo Dog and I wanted to take the balloon Home but someone beat us to it. Took some red shoes. We all left smarter, more loving and braver. Dot of Team Rainbow from Kansas.. Be sure to bring plenty of water when doing this cache…It came in real handy for me!!!
  23. Hey GeoHo, Just noticed!!! It is your two year Anniversary on GC.com. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! NOW, that is cool!
