    Same thing. I have a Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx in Okinawa. Turned it on and it automatically did what it needed to. +/- 3m accuracy. I used the Japan maps from this site http://www011.upp.so-net.ne.jp/mametaro/kanto-e.html They work through MapSource.
