Thank you for the suggestions. I tried most of them, but had no success. I wound up calling the Garmin customer service center and holding for 45 minutes to talk to someone. It turns out that there is a glitch with a random number of Garmin 60CSx units that causes them to dump their software. Very annoying. However, I was able to easily download an update which has corrected the problem.

I just recently got my Garmin 60CSx, and it worked well yesterday. However, today I can't seem to get any satellite signals. I get an "acquiring satellites" message that lasts for hours. Yesterday I had signals from about 15 satellites - today I can't get any. I'm in the same place, with the same weather conditions. I am thinking something must be wrong with my unit. Can anyone give me some advice on what to try next?

I just received a Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx for Christmas. I started using it yesterday, and everything seemed to be working well. However, when I turned the unit on today, the unit gets stuck trying to acquire satellites. Yesterday I had acquired about 15 satellites. Today I get none. I am in the exact same position, same time of day, with clear and open skies. I try in different locations and do not get any better results. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
