  1. I just use the Geocaching app on my iphone and log all my finds while I'm at the cache.
  2. Depending on how different the syntax is, it might not be that hard to do a search and replace. Might have to look into that. Im going to give it a try and see how it works. May be all that I need for now! I am also another user who owns a DASH. the dash gps does load KML files off the net but the Geocaching Network link kml file dosnt work. I think they need to have a GeoRSS feed setup for each state. This is something that the Dash users really right now need since there is no way of inputing coordinates manualy into the device. Inputing coordinates is a feature they plan on adding but it is currently not possable. also another option I would like is to get a GeoRSS to my pocketquery's
  3. OK so I was a paying member that payed every month. I went ahead and payed for a full year and updated my account. It says my account wont expire for another year however Ground speak keeps billing my every month for my old monthly subsciption. Everything I have done to try and contact them has not worked and I keep getting billed twice. They also send me an email conferming that they have deducted the monthly payment from my account and If i need to contact them to go to. but it dosnt say where to go or have a link.
  4. The only electronic compass that I have use was the one on my digital watch. For the most part it is always dead on.
  5. If you are planning on using it as your GPS for caching your pretty much out of luck. #1 both the iphone and the blackberry curve dont have a built in GPS. #2 with the blackberry curve you can still get a bluetooth GPS and conectit wirelessly to the curve to recieve GPS coordinages but the Iphone does not let you connect any bluetooth gps devices. #3 Both get internet so looking up the geocaching info will be ok on both, However the blackberry allowes you to install other browsers and programs and you can pick what you like best. The iPhone dosnt currently allow you to install programs unless you HACK the phone. I currently use my blackberry curve to look at the hints for the caches and to log my finds. I use my Mio Digiwalker GPS to get me to the cache.
  6. Thats why I think it would be a good idea to break it into groups of people in each state. They just update there own states file. Once you have the caches for the state, adding new ones isnt as difficult a thing to do. just one querry for new caches, load it in the list and save them all. only if you live in the state would you really be interested in the brand new lattest caches. And you should already have an alert set up anyways. But if your travling to another state It would be great to just grab the file off here and load it on your memery card and thats it.
  7. I just wanted to know if a lot of you have or use any of the Mio Digiwalker GPS units. I have a couple of them and they are greate. I currently live in the US, in Miami Florida and have created a file that contains all of the geocaches in south florida. Once placed on an SD card in your Mio GPS, they all come up as POI's and you can also see them on the map when driving around. Is there any other members who live in florida and have a mio GPS that would like to use this file? Or are there any members in other states in the US that would like to know how to make one? I think it would be greate if we could have a member from each state create a file containing all geocaches in their state. Let me know what you guys think.
  8. That didn't really help with the C220. But other Mio GPS. I can assume they are similar tho. Anyone else have a C220? and have figured out how to use it for geocaching? I have a Mio Digiwalker C310X C220 and C320. All of them work great for geocaching and I would recomend them to anyone. Just click on Menu, then Corodinates. Enter the corodinates for the geocache, It will bring up the location on the map and you click the Rout To button. It will now rout you to the geocache. Once you get to the location and you cant drive any further. Go to your settings, click route settings, and change vehicle from Car to pedestrian. This way you can walk around with it and it shows where you are without locking to the road. I have also created a file that I loaded on an SD card and put in the GPS so that it has all of the Geocaches in Florida listed as POI's. I can just drive around and see them pop up on the map or go to specific ones without typing in the corordinate each time.
