We've run into 3 cachers since we started in June, 2 had just found their first, the other had several caches we had enjoyed finding (Hiya Eswau!). I guess we scared off the other 2. Ooopsy. Yes. Just because a topic is started by someone it is their topic. Should it suddenly get jacked around to a different subject due to a outbreak of cussedmindedness from posters or admin, they should be able to put a bullett in it's head at will. Another reason: Fumble typing. A couple of times I've started a thread where I wanted to ask a question & had 4 billion Markwell references raining down on me till everyone got tired of it. Reason? When I did the search for previous topics before posting I misspelled "Latttiude". I tried to kill it, I posted in all caps even, and I hate when I have to that. Noooo good. For all I know the "D'uh look here" references haunt my sleep. Locking ability? Aye. Deletion? Aye. Control? Aye. But that's me. I'm Phone in desktop support for a broadband cable company. Wife does payroll at a payroll accounting firm. Our caching is done on weekends & vacations, used up about all the local ones. Sometimes the cacher needs some help too. Earlier last month I was hunting a micro, crawling on my hands & knees in a parking garage when a car came around the corner. Ok, show me how to subtle out of that. I'll give you 5$ cash american. Other caches I've found to be on the PUBLIC side of a mountain, facing traffic, toward the parking lot of a park. Sheesh, at least give me enough cover to hide the altoids box in a pocket. Granted, I am new at this, but still, sheesh.
