  1. Hey Moose-R-Us, sorry a little OT, but wanted to let you know that I picked up one of your magnets a few weeks ago in one of the Oak Hill Caches over near Littleton, MA. It's poroudly displayed on our refrigerator at home. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  2. Lesley I believe it was this past Tuesday that we received them. If they shipped out that Friday, then it was 4 or 5 days I guess to get them. It took them a week to ship them out from the time I ordered them though. It looks like Three's company is having a similar problem. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  3. We ordered a 4 pack a couple weeks ago and finally got them a few days ago. Apparantly they are behind. I was told that they normally take 3 days or so. I wasn't aware that you could pay more to get them as they are shipped in a envelope via the Post Office. I'm over near Boston so it would take longer to get tehm here than you should. 4. If you know the address you could look it up on Geocode or one of those other similar sites. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  5. I've findly found a place I would like to place a cache. It's a Conservation Trust with trails throughout it. There are caches in conservation trusts in other towns and am wondering if this should be somwthing that I should contact this conservation trust on placing a cache there? If so, is there some sort of literature or something I can email them on it. I don't want them to get the wrong idea if I tell them that basically I hide a box in the woods and people come and find it. I know there has to some better way of putting it in words that breaks the whole idea to them gently. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  6. Well I wouldn't expect it to be next or near the business. Think about it though, once a business would do that, then they would have to continue to resupply the cache would get costly. Because people would be going to it and returning to it, telling their friends, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, cousins and etc. Once the word got out. The cache would be stolen or it would go without anything new in it. But it would be a good gimmick for a company to do. Doesn't have to be on the Geocaching.com website, they could easily post it on their website or on a flyer in store. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  7. Is there a place to download a larger copy of the "GX" logo? Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  8. Like many others here, I have a website. I was thinking of adding a "Geocaching" links part to my links page. So if anyone out there has a personal geocaching website and wants to trade links, please let me know. I will reciprocate. It doesn't have to be geocaching either, it can be some other 'outdoors" type of site as that is the theme of my site. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  9. LOL Mudbug. I think my problem was the letters were a little small and I wasn't cutting at an angle. How deep do you go down/ I'm using speedball speedycut carving blocks. They were less than a couple bucks a piece at Michaels. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  10. I am...I am! Hey at least I tried something you suggested Dusty. If I remember correctly in one of your pictures on your site, you have a photo of bug repellent. I think it was the kind I bought (Bens). It looked familiar when I saw it and that's why I did. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  11. I realize that. But as others have stated, they have gotten theirs in a few days. It's taken a week for mine to even get shipped. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  12. Bought the supplies for the polymer clay coins this past week and tried one night. But have difficulty cutting the letters out. Any suggestions? Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  13. Carleen you may have to go with some of the larger sized childrens boots. You may have to go with someone like Timberland though. I remember they had some kids shoes comparable to the ones I got. I'm sure other companies do the same thing. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  14. No problem Mejas. We just moved up here in January from Augusta. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  15. Duh..I knew I saw it somewhere and I must admit I have your website bookmarked! Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  16. Well I went through a similar type of thing when ordering something else off the internet. I don't mind delays. At least when made aware of them. The internet is a great commerce source, but service (not necessarily Groundspeak) is going to the dogs. I expect a reply or notice that items are delayed or shipment is delayed. Whether it's an email at time of order or on the website where ordering. I would prefer a notice on the website saying, things are delayed or "out of stock". Actually it's easier to put a statement on the website as to such. I've just have had bad luck ordering online lately. It just really frustrates me as one who provides a service as well on the internet. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  17. Sorry for the off topic, but in case others out there need to know...I had to log out and then back in before my location showed up... Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  18. cool...who developed originally? Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  19. A little bump for this. But on this note, is there a package one can get from Geocaching.com on holding caching events? Such as rules, suggestions, etc? If anyone has any information on putting one together, please email me. I think it would a great event to do even on a smaller scale. What a great way to bring cachers together and meet each other. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  20. I see what you are talking about but it's not the Geocaching.com logo. The GC logo is square with four seperate squares with the littleman and flag on it. The "G" with the "X" in the middle was adopted by someone else wasn't it? I'm rather new and may have this wrong though. I do know that the current logo of GC.com is not that one though. 21. Ok I added it in the profile and it's not showing up yet. Went back to the profile and it's in there. Maybe it takes someone else to post as with some other message boards for it to show up or some time. My luck it will be at the bottom after this message. 22. quote:Originally posted by Alan2:Where's "up here"? I wish people would show where they live from their profile so it automatically displays at the bottom of the post. Would make life a lot easier for the rest of us and add meaning to what you have to say. Sorry, but it's just a long-time gripe I've had. Alan I'm sorry I did have my location in my profile, but just realized thgere were two places for it and apparantly didn't have it in the one that counted... It's there now.. My location is Lunenburg, Massachusetts... Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  23. How does one convert the coordinates as listed here on the website caches to decimal degrees without a converter tool? Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  24. I'm one all for change, but I have to say I liked the old layout better. But I'm sure there were reasons to change it and that it's better for some reason. I liked the how the old one automatically put the found ones at the bottom automatically without having to do any other special things. AS Desert Warrior put it, additional Keystrokes. I entered it from the main page and still do over on the right where it says Find the nearest Cache. I would put in my zip code and as long as I was logged on, my found caches would show up at the bottom. Now if I go in that way. Thye are all mixed in but have the "X" in the brackets. I will one day find out how it will better benefit me, hopefully. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
  25. quote:Originally posted by BrianSnat:Timberland shoes were the best in the world 20 years ago. They were hand sewn in Maine. I had a pair of Timberland boat shoes that lasted well over 10 years of nearly daily use. I finally lost one wading in a lake, so I had to buy another pair. Because of my prior experience, I went with Timberland, but my next pair made it barely past a year before the leather started to rip. My replacement pair lasted about 6 months before the eyelets pulled out. I think that can happen with any pair of shoes. It happened with the Hi-Techs I had over 10 years ago that didn't last very long. But that was my pair. Othe peoples had their same pair for years. You are correct about going from a small company to a large one. But I believe just about any company goes through that, that gets popular. They have to speed up the process to keep up with the demand. The military boots today are not of the quality of what has always been put it. Believe it or not "Combat Boots" are now a good thing. They have to be. They are put through a lot, have to last and still look good (when you shine them). You can get them in all sizes to include wide sizes. It's been 11 years since I was in, so I imagine that the quality of the boots have gone up since then. Aftter every war, they come up with better things. I mean look at them now. They are using GPS devices. A couple years ago I was looking at some Air Force Security Police websites and saw they now had 4 wheelers, bike patrols, dune buggies and a lot more stuff. We thought we were cool with the Jeep Cherokees when we had them and were trying out the Vortex Light Bars (V-Shape). In recent years I've seen some military personnel (Army) wearing Hi-Techs. Are they allowing those to be worn now? Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com
