  1. Oh, I forgot to mention. There are one or two no tresspassing signs in the area, however public access extends to five feet from the high water line, making Power Lady publicly accessible.
  2. I live a ten minute drive from the cache. That fence is merely the end of the road with parking available to the right of the pic. Beyond the fence is a public access beach about 100yds further. It is on the sight of a former all girls summer camp called "Lady of the Lake". This area is filled with several other excellent hides including a 5/5 at the end of a peninsula to the south. Due to tje rugged terrain it is about a 4-6 hour hike round trip. All are worth the effort.
  3. I wish it wasn't so far, it would be perfect! Thanks!
  4. I recently found a Halloween Hoopla geocoin. It's goal is to visit as many spooky caches as possible. Since I prefer to move trackable along when I go on road trips I could use a little help. I will be traveling down the I75 corridor to Dayton Ohio. Was wondering if anybody knows of any caches that fit the bill within ten minutes or so of I75? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  5. Yes it does. It looks like a cache box.
  6. I was wondering, when I first signed up for the basic app, i didn't realize I was going to get hooked on this. I used an old handle that I've been using for a very long time. Now that im officially hooked, I would like to change my name to something a little more appropriate to the hobby. Can I do this without losing all my finds?
  7. So since I'm so new to this, im not quite sure what your answer means. Does what you just told me mean that I should have access to them with the intro app? If so, why can't I access them? If not, why were the temporarily available to me?
  8. Also, I recently got a buddy of mine involved, and he too only uses his phone. He had the same thing happen. He went to Swan Creek to do some caching only to discover they had all gone to advanced
  9. I only ever cache from my phone. Swan Creek Metropark.
  10. When you're at work, are you viewing the cache on the Geocaching.com website from a desktop or laptop computer, vs. trying to look at the cache in the Intro App when out in the field? That could be your problem right there. What MetroPark are you talking about? (I am the Community Volunteer Reviewer for your local area.)
  11. If it were only one I wouldn't be concerned but it was 3 within the same Toledo City Metropark, all with Metropark permit numbers. Also, there was another one that was available the first day it was hidden, went the next day to find it, it was advanced, looked at it at work the next day, back to traditional, then back to advanced when I tried after work.
  12. I am relatively new to geocaching. I currently only have the basic app right now as there are plenty of caches to keep me occupied until better financial times. My issue is that I have noticed several caches that were traditional switch to advanced and back again. This is very frustrating especially when I drive somewhere to go caching only to find I no longer can view the ones I was after.
