  1. I was going to take the mickey C&B and have your avatar against this post but I like mine too much. Whenever I post my own opinions, I override the default 'Andy & Dawn' sig line. Apart from that I/We/She am/are/is 'The Cuthberts'. (Wiltshire's contribution to the chaos theory!) Andy
  2. Congrats John, Which pint would you say was the best ?
  3. Ho hum..... etrex set to use Saudi map datum !!
  4. Thanks for the excellent article and thanks for the scan Peter.
  5. Well done Seasider. Look forward to seeing your mark in some of the Southern logbooks shortly. Don't forget your ferrets !
  6. Go on - give us the co-ords of your garage so we can all log 17 more finds You must have a big garage. I don't have the maths for this but what is the smallest garage you can have so that all of the 17 caches abide by the 0.1 mile rule ??? Andy
  7. If stats were important to people then multis could be individual caches in their own right with part of the location to another 'final' cache hidden in each. I'm sure I've seen some of these amongst the listings. Are they still okay with Ecky and Lacky from an approval point of view? For the sake of our own two multis, I wouldn't actually mind giving out the coordinates of the final caches via Email but it would be a shame to cut short a nice walk. Hey NattyB...... pleased to see that the devious streak hasn't been knocked out of you by baseball bats yet ! Andy
  8. A fantastic amount of money raised ! - Which ticket won the engine-valve ??? Andy
  9. True, I do get email and don't have a great many caches but it would be a nice option to switch between email notifications and a static icon on the 'My Cache' page. I guess I'm just being idle ! Andy
  10. Sorry, I meant I didn't have access to a 512Mb Flash Card. I currently run with a 256Mb card in the Navman sleeve and it runs just fine. I just wanted that extra bit of resource to expand my caching radius. (Memory Map is a great bit of software but the data is so detailed that it hogs the memory) Andy
  11. Does anyone know if the Navman SE sleeve / iPAQ 3630 combination will support a 512Mb Compact Flash card ?? I don't have access to one to try it. Thanks
  12. We always have an ammo can in the boot ready to go ever since we found a cache that had been trashed by the weather. It would have been nice to replace it for the owner as it was in an excellent location.
  13. If there is already a quick way to do this then I apologise but I check 'My Cache' page daily in case there are any problems. For each cache there is a 'Last Found n days ago' against each one. What is doesn't show is 'No Finds', 'Notes', etc. Would it be possible to show the icon of the last entry in the log so we can see whether there are potential problems without having to go into each cache-page in turn ? Andy
  14. Excellent Mark. Well Done and three cheers for your generosity and stamina. Now where's that 'beer emoticon' ?
  15. Thanks, This is quite fitting (as well as me being a great fan of TinTin).......... 1) Because we are both absent minded. 2) I am slightly deaf in one ear 3) When we started out we were using the GPS position screen on SmartST professional which just gave the NW GPS coordinates so that phrase came out quite a lot. I'll see whether I can edit this post tomorrow. (To stay on topic) Andy P.S. Nice horns
  16. I guess it's so an edit cannot move the subsequent posts too far out of context. I have noticed it as well. Andy
  17. Oh dadgum..... look's like we missed it before it got deleted. Was it funny ?
  18. Nokia 6310i works fine when searching by waypoint name. Will try others when the boss isn't looking.
  19. You can have another one. I lost one of our first caches because one part of the hedge looked like another part. It was eventually a fluke 'prod' from Mrs Cuthbert's stick that gave the giveaway 'clunk' as it struck the ammo box. Third outing and lucky. The cache has now been moved to avoid future embarrassment. Andy
  20. I like the 'spy screen' where you can see what everyone else is doing ! Like Chris said, my work output is now going to plummet again !! Andy
  21. These forums seem to run a lot quicker as well. Haven't caught the fox yet but we *did* get all the numbers on my lottery ticket last Saturday Shame it was only one of those 'Pick 2' thingies.... still, that's a weekend's caching paid for. It's nice to have these forums back... thanks Groundspeak. It must have been a hectic time.
  22. Drat !!!...... was hoping to catch Mark in Chippenham last night but at last check before sleepies he was still in Cheltenham. Unfortunately, work was an early start this morning so was unable to make the round trip to Cirencester !! Still early doors..........
