When you come to a fork in the road, take it.

  2. I did a little scouting today, looking for a site for my new cache. I also tried out my new gaiters in the stickers and they WORKED well. I thought I would share this with you. Where I live the grass gets very dry and stickers are a huge factor. Last year I spent as much time removing stickers from my socks and shoes as I did geocaching. I don't like wearing long pants. I live in the Sacramento Valley area and it gets hot! 102 degrees today. I went to REI this week and bought a pair of "Spring Gaiters". These are Stretchy, low rise gaiters made of dry skin. These gaiters have clips in the front to hook to your shoe strings and front closers made of velcro. There is also an instep strap to keep them tight to your shoes. When you are hiking you can open the front velcro and leave them open, folded down like the neck of a shirt,(no funny tan lines and cool) when walking off trail in a stickery area, you just close the velcro in the front and the elastic gaiters stay up about 6-8" above your socks. These things are awsome. I purposely walked through tons of stickers today to see how they did....and they did great. The only stickers that attached were the little tiny ball stickers that brushed right off. The evil ones that cause great pain to your ankles were not there. One or two in the toe of my shoe where the gaiter didn't reach, but other than that.....NONE. They are $22.00 at REI and well worth the money! icon_biggrin.gif

  4. It's just amazing what you can learn on these forums. Now I know why I only see one shoe laying around on the ground....I learned not to put batteries in my pocket with change and figured out what to do with all those film canisters laying around. Amazing these forums icon_biggrin.gif

  8. Geocaching is not dead here anton, but it sure is quieter here than last year. I think it is still early in the season. Maybe geocachers hibernate longer. I have noticed a sluggish start to our season, but I am sure it will pick up this summer....at least I hope.

  9. James, I was looking for computer help, not a smart remark. I am trying to learn and this was an option that was given to me by a local geocacher. My intention is to learn, not steal anyones ideas! icon_rolleyes.gif

That is the problem that I am having Hawkeye....no notepad window or blank space or anything for that matter. It used to just pop right up and your right, I could scroll through it. Now nothing pops up...it just acts like I never hit the view/source button. I can scroll through the entire page, but there is no notepad with the codes on it anymore. sigh..... icon_frown.gif

  13. "Did you try scrolling down the view source window?"

icon_confused.gif Can you explain?? (as you can plainly see, I am novice)

Redwoodred, I think it is my computer and nothing else because I emailed a geocaching buddy and they are having no problems with this function. I am not using this in Groundspeak, but on geocache pages that have html codes that I am learning.

  15. This may sound dumb, but I will ask anyhow... I used to use the View/Source to read how some of the html was used on certain pages. For some dumb reason, it won't work anymore. I hit View and then source and nothing.....nada. Anybody know why????
