It was an honor to watch as Gary grabbed his 1300th. We have a great history together. There was the "Oh Indy Diver Girl" episode and of course the Sweet Potato Adventure. He is a great guy and he will always be one of my best friends. Deermark

I accidently logged 1 cache 6000 times years ago and never corrected it. Deermark

One of my most memorable caches is one the I never made it to, GCGN6A. The cache was hidden around 10,000' Kepnfit and I only made it to about 9950' before approacing darkness turned us back. The views were just fantastic. Here is my log: October 18, 2004 by Deermark (8982 found) Hiked up from Silver Lake Reservoir. About 2-3" of snow at the higher elevation. Got within .38 of the cache but had to turn around due to darkness. Managed to bushwack down in about an hour. A whole lot quicker down than going up. Really wanted to finish this one off but being unfamiliar with the area didn't want to be up this high in the dark. Thanks anyway for bringing me up to this beautiful area. Deermark

If you do stay on I-70 out of KC GC31 & GC32 are both old caches worth doing. You will swear you are not in Kansas at either location. Devil's Tower in Wyoming was really cool. See GCZD8H and GC22DD. Also GCJ6XV outside of Laramie, WY had a great view. GC93C2 is the cache at the point where Wyoming, Colorado and Nebraska meet. Nearby is GC194 which is the highpoint of Nebraska. Even though the terrain is fairly flat is is still over 5000'. These are just a few that I have enjoyed. Deermark

Shark Bait 1 is serving our country in Iraq. His GCRAFG Spirit of Casey Jones Cache is in dire need of maintenance. It is an ammo box but it keeps filling up with water. I did this cache last month and it is in a neat location. Can a local cacher help him out by replacing the container and log book? Deermark

I stubbed my toe once looking for a cache and it hurt for about 5 whole minutes. Where's my sympathy? Hope you are doing better Jerry. It must be nice having Karen wait on you 24/7. Deermark

GEOWOODSTOCK 6 has just been announced and Sacramento has won the prize. WCNut & Tater, Shydog, Daggy and I are already making plans for the trip. It is only a few hours to Yosemite National Park and the San Franciso Bay area. Sound like an ideal location to me. Anybody want to go? Deermark

Gary & Mary Adventurers did a wonderful job on this years edition of the Spring Picnic. Dr Who & K9 drive 750 miles round trip to attend and I think they will say it was worth it. Daggy and I sure had a ball. Although it was a little cold camping out. Deermark

Hey all you Indigo cachers out there. Don't forget that the Indiana Spring Picnic, GC10NQ8, is coming up on May 12. The event is at Potato Creek State Park just southwest of South Bend. It is a long way to travel for alot of you but Gary & Mary Adventures promises that it will be well worth it. Daggy and I are heading up early Friday May 11 to grab a few treasures on the way. Sounds like everyone has voiced their opinions. Nothing anyone says will change anyone else's opinion on the subject. It would be a great time to drop the subject and get back to Geocaching.
